I recently had my electricity meter converted from a pre-payment one (don't ask, previous occupants had it installed). All is fine but I would like to switch supplier. The problem is, is that B.G. have not charged me the first month direct debit yet. Is this a ploy to get me in 'debt' with them so it is harder to switch?

Phone call from PowerGen
Just had a phone call from PowerGen regarding my switching to Ebico. I spent 15 minutes trying to explain it was not Southern electric and gave up. Ebico are not on Uswitch so they don't exist (apparently :rotfl: ). Apart from that, lots of scary 'you will pay £60 more' comments that weren't very accurate. Regards X

I have paid British gas about £20 a month for 2 years to service my boiler and to cover repairs, I'm starting to wonder if this is really worth it.
