    I assume you mean LPG?
It's a bit of a lottery at the moment. The biggest problem is once you enter into a contract you are virtually stuck with it. Suppliers will not fill each others tanks. If you have a communal tank the problem is even worse.
It's not all bad news though as the LPG supply industry is currently under investigation by the Competition Commission, see http://www.competition-commission.org.uk/inquiries/current/gas/
Hopefully this will free things up as it's not a bad fuel - just relatively expensive. Shop around and get the best quotes - there is a sniff of regional monopolies but you can't get any open info. The best supplier will depend on where you live and what new customer deals they are offering.

As Martin recommends I use the comparison sites such as http://www.energyhelpline.com/energy/rg_home.aspx
Beware of some though as they are tied to certain suppliers (eg Uswitch).
See Martins article under "Phones and Utilities"
Again the best price will depend on where you live. To break the monopolies the "home provider" or the electricity company that supplied your area before privatisation is rarely the cheapest (there is rumoured to be a price fix to allow this to happen).
If you are concerned about service levels check out http://www.energywatch.org.uk/help_and_advice/complaints_received/index.asp
Don't forget that whoever you choose, the reliability of the supply will depend on who owns the "wires" that feed your property. It's only who you pay the bill too and hence the cost of the units you use that you can change.
