“Vested interest”
I’m drafting a new will, based on the wording of my old professionally drawn will but with a few adjustments. I’m concerned that the beneficiaries of my will must show a vested interest within 28 days. Does this mean if they were for example in a coma, they could lose the opportunity to inherit from my will?

Should I take out a funeral plan for my parents?
I'm concerned that my parents have zero savings (and possibly some debts too) and would therefore leave nothing towards a funeral for either of them. Selfishly I've spent the last 2 years working us out of debts and accruing some savings etc, setting us up to build a good future for our family, and I don't want this to set…

Provision for teenage children when both married parents die
Our three children are aged 14-18 years. If both me and my husband die, we would like the 18 year old to be the guardian of the younger children. We only have £100 on the mortgage, no debts and some savings and we are going to organise mirror wills. We would like our estate to be shared equally between them. My sister can…

Is there a time limit when house of deceased must be sold?
My brother died suddenly in April of COVID-19 (no symptoms, no underlying conditions). Our parents are his executors, but no one is able to get to his home because of control of movement and no one being local. The keys for his house and car are with his local solicitors. My question is, is there a date by which the house…
