Hi, I am employed full time but have been working for Avon since May (I make very little it is a hobby but I still registered as self employed) My question, if I started this may (may 2012) when will I have to do a tax return? I am already registered self employed and want to start another small self employed job. Do i have to contact HMRC or do i just add it as another self employment on my next tax return? I read somewhere that you must inform them within 3 months, is that relevant for my situation or just for newly self employed?

Can I send P45 photocopies to update my records?
I have had to pay emergency tax in my new job, so the tax office asked me to send previous P45s to update their records to sort it out. Can I send photocopies to update my tax records? I don't like the idea of the originals getting lost in the post and I'm not paying for recorded delivery.
