Self employed - 2nd self employed job

I am already registered self employed and want to start another small self employed job.
Do i have to contact HMRC or do i just add it as another self employment on my next tax return?
I read somewhere that you must inform them within 3 months, is that relevant for my situation or just for newly self employed?

  • Hello jules9,

If it is a different line of self employment then you will need to complete a separate self employment schedule and submit it with your tax return as normal. You do not need to register another self employment with HMRC.
    Happy to help if required!

    Kind regards
