How to tell apart soft and hard search?
How would you know what a soft or hard search is on equifax? I recently applied for car finance through an online broker and ended up with about 12 credit searches on equifax. Are these credit searches soft searches? Thanks

Defaults Help/Advice
New to the forum so please be kind but I’m in desperate need of help/advice and feel like I don’t really understand what’s going on. I’ve been on a DMP for a few years but due to a few missed payments some of my lenders passed the debt on to debt collection companies (link & Cabot credit mangement). These companies show on…

Erroneous AEO
In my latest payslip, I noticed a deduction for 'Fines AEO'. I hadn't even heard this term until yesterday, but now I've looked into it it makes no sense. From what I understand, an AEO happens after you've already had a CCJ and failed to make payment on it; in addition, I would have received N56 paperwork. So here's where…

And is there a crossover point in loan to value where getting a mortgage becomes much easier, say if I…

Hi I have lived abroad for 2 years and intend to move home permanently in the next 2 years. Getting a CCJ removed. What next?
Hi all A few months ago I found out via my credit report that a CCJ was taken against me. The company was Cohen Cramer. I applied for a set aside as the paperwork went to an old address which was granted. I then provided proof that I was not living at the address when the supposed debt (provident loan) was taken out. Today…
