Dunelm refund on my wife's card
I have just visited my local dunelm to return some items bought on Saturday using my wife's card only to be that my wife needs to be present. Surely a credit back to the card is not a risk? The staff said they were told it was against the Data Protection act but they were not at risk of reading any data regarding my wife,…

Section 75 claim on broken TV
Hi, I bought a LG Smart TV from curry's on my barclaycard in March 2015. This week it died - and won't power on past the logo screen. Since there have been no recent OTA updates it's more likely it's hardware related - possible the motherboard is dead. I'm not going to bother with curry's or LG since it's outside the 12…

I imagine there be a lot of people going into positive balances, in the near future.
With the collapse of Monarch, and the cancelling of lots of flights by Ryanair, I'm guessing a great many people will be getting refunds to their Credit Cards. What happens with these refunds, that take a Credit Card into a positive balance?

Virgin Credit Card
Following a recent transfer that cost a £50 admin fee, they started charging interest on all additional purchases from day 1 and so when I then tried to minimise the charges by making early payments they then paid this off the zero interest balance rather than the balance with interest. It clearly states in the T&C's that…

Section 75 claim (DCS)
Was told by my card provider that they cannot accept my section 75 claim as they cannot establish a Debtor-Creditor-Supplier agreement. Although the payment came from my credit card they cannot establish who the contracting parties are as I do not have a contract or invoice for my payment just the statement with the…

I'm asking on behalf of my son. He has traded digital product on line and took the payment through PayPal. The money has since been taken from his account by PayPal and given to the buyer. Do I need to do anything after credit card fraud
Apologies if this is a silly question but in over 20 years of regularly using credit cards this is the first time I have experienced fraud. Just started the fraud process after getting an odd text from MBNA (sending me a one-off password) and then logging into my online account (with my normal details) to find ~£800 of…

Being entirely dependant on my husband for income (an allowance), I now want to take out a credit card. So what I want to know is if I apply for a 0% purchase credit card, can I state my allowance in the ‘employment income’ section and then his salary in the ‘household income’ section?

Charge for Over Credit Card Limit because card did not update on activation
I transferred money from one credit card (Barclaycard) to another (Tesco) as the promo period for 0% was up on the Barclaycard. This was approved and I was asked at the time of applying for the Tesco to transfer the total money, so when I receieved the Tesco card and activated it, I expected the transfer to show but…

Does the 'brand' of the credit card matter
Hi, Does anyone know if having certain credit cards puts off other lenders even if you manage them well ? For example, would a student credit card or other low limit cards (like credit builder cards) make other bigger lenders less likely to give you a card as they may think your in the lower end of the credit market since…

Best credit card for no history
I’ve seen plenty of posts suggesting Aqua, Marbles, Capital One, Tesco Foundation etc. but I am unsure of which one is the outright best. I’ve checked with the moneysupermarket checker. It suggests a Vanquis Origin card has a 9/10 approval, Chrome/Aquis and Tesco at 6/10 and 5/10 respectively. I’ve also noticed that…

Advice for 14 Day Grace
Hello, So a parent at my address wasn't too happy me getting a 0% card from Aqua and decided to snap it and threw it away. They even tried to call Aqua and ask them why they approved me and whether she could cancel it and override my authority. Unfortunately there is no chance of me getting a re-sent card as she'll now…
