Egg Balance Transfers
I am with egg and am thinking of transferring the debt to my parents and then back again. But before I do this, do you know what deal they will offer an existing customer for a balance transfer into them? Also, if I transfer away, are Egg known to reduce your credit limit in the process? Thanks, Steve

To tart or not to tart?
I have run up a balance of £8,000 on a 0% credit card. The money is happily gaining 6% interest in a savings account until Dec and the 0% deal ends in March. My question is whether I should pay off the credit card or pay £8,000 off my mortgage. My fixed rate mortgage is 5.49% and I'd only need to pay 3% for a balance…

MBNA charged me £12.00 for being 21p short
I have had my MBNA card for several years now, always paid on time. Last monthly my payment was £120.21, not thinking I wrote a check for £120.00. I was suprised to be charged £12.00. Tried phoning phoning them and they are just not interested. Okay, it's my fault for not making the full payment, but £12.00 for 21p short.…

MBNA Decline
Hi there I've just been declined by MBNA (for their platinum card) because over 8 months ago I went over the limit on my cap1 card (they told me this is the exact reason). This happened because I had set up a direct debit over the phone with cap1 or so I thought and didn't realise that it hadn't actually been taken until I…

Credit Card Purchase Protection question.
As I understand it, if you buy goods using your Visa or Mastercard, you are covered for fraud/misselling/faulty goods etc. If we pay a 50% deposit for goods being manufactured for us, using our Tesco card, would we be covered for that amount if the manufacturers went bust or just turned out to be crooks and vanished with…

Tesco Finance refuse to repay deposit
Any advice? I paid a deposit to a solar energy supplier. I had a dispute with them because they wanted to change the boiler at a highly inflated price. They refused to return the deposit. I gave the problem to the 'legal firm' paid for in my house insurance. They just sat on it. Then I discovered that the company and gone…
