Interest on a cleared card
Hi wonder if anyone can advise me, I cleared off my credit card balance on my virgin card but this month I have received a statement with an interest charge and payment protection charge but surely this can't be right when my balance was paid off?

Better protection for travel if paying by card?
I believe it used to be the case that if you paid for large items like holidays, with a credit card, there was better protection if the travel company went into liquidation, than when using other payments methods. Is this still the case? thanks for any info

I've offered an amount to my credit card as a reduced settlement they've taken my details and have said they will get back to me it's about 60% of the balance do u think they will accept this and what do they mean when they say it will show as part settled on my credit file?
