How do I trace direct debits?
I don't know if this is possible or not: I am trying to 'streamline' my outgoings by getting rid of any payments I don't need to make (e.g. an internet access subscription from a previous home which I'd never bothered to cancel). I reckon this could add up to a good £20pcm or so. :o HOWEVER, there's several direct debit…

Current Account with no minimum pay-in?
Apologies for earlier post; I think the problem with opening the Bank of Scotland current account was probably that we both earn less than £1000 a month and even then we do not plan on paying our salaries into the account. Does anyone know of an account we could open jointly which would allow us a switch card but has no…

Halifax charges -£39
Hi everyone, thought I'd start my own post rather than tacking on the end of other, relevant, posts! Basically, the Halifax charged me £39 for a failed cheque (it was written in good faith but the BACs credit I was expecting in to cover it went in a day later than normal, not the banks fault!)
