Current Account with no minimum pay-in?

Apologies for earlier post; I think the problem with opening the Bank of Scotland current account was probably that we both earn less than £1000 a month and even then we do not plan on paying our salaries into the account.
Does anyone know of an account we could open jointly which would allow us a switch card but has no monthly pay-in requirements? We only need it for sharing of household bills, groceries etc so will not be putting a fortune in.
Any advice is much appreciated; this is all new to me!
Thanks.

Try https://www.cahoot.co.uk as long as you don't mind an internet bank, they pay a great rate of interest also over 4% with no minimum pay in.0

I think most banks and building societies provide bank accounts where there is a no minimim payment requirement. I've used HSBC, First Direct, Nationwide, Cahoot and IF and was not required to pay in a certain amount. They all have also provided me with a debit card (Swith or Delta)."An eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind" - Mahatma Gandhi0

What about a second account with the same bank where either of you have your salaries paid in? If you have a good credit record with them it should be a formality especially if you explain to them what you are doing & whyGwlad heb iaith, gwlad heb galon0

as far as I am aware the stumbling block is whether a salary is mandated to the account - if it is,they'll usually issue a Maestro(switch)card but if you only pay in odds & sods as & when, then they'll issue a card but it's only a basic debit card (solo)0 -

That's incorrect I'm afraid. They expect your salary to be paid in or if not at least £1000/month. They will eventually enforce this rule if you don't.Ethical moneysaver0 -
