So, I got myself into a sorry situation with some loans and so started using a different account so I could get on top of it all and sort it out. I am well aware of my own stupidity although I'm sure there will be those gleefully pointing it out anyway. Lost my job and had to leave college and am now signing on and…

The notice gave me 30 days to pay.....I haven't and I haven't received any reminders....what is the normal procedure (I haven't challenged the…

JSA & Tax Credits
Good Morning, Today I've sadly had to make a claim for JSA. I was receiving WTC as I was working & CTC and basically I need to know if the application for JSA automatically stops WTC or do I need to notify them seperately? I understand that it can take some weeks for JSA to get sorted so I'm hoping that my current tax…

Do I qualify for housing benefit?
I'm 23 and just started claiming JSA (not sure whether it's income based or contribution based) as my fixed-term contract at my old job ended. I'm looking for another job. I'm renting a bedroom from my dad and stepmum. I think if you're living with immediate family and therefore 'not responsible' for paying rent then it's…

TO sign on or not?
In 17 days I'm going to be unemployed again after 5 weeks of working on the Census. I'll be getting WTC 4 week overrun, which means if I signed back on I'd not qualify for any JSA. So is there any point signing back on until the 4 week run on finishes? Are there any sneaky hidden rules that might bite me on the behind if I…
