Customers may exchange their saved Nectar points at participating stores for a Nectar Double Up voucher to be redeemed in store on one of 6 participating departments only: Tu Clothing, Electricals, Entertainment (in store), Homeware, Toys, and Taste the Difference: Wine, Sparkling, Champagne, Sherry & Port. Offer available 30 March - 5 April 2016. Not available through Groceries Online, or in Locals, Centrals or Petrol Filling Stations. Minimum exchange value 1000 Nectar points (£10 voucher). Maximum exchange value 4000 Nectar points (£40 voucher). Vouchers valid until 5 April 2016.

Official MoneySavingExpert insert Tue 1 Mar: Nectar has confirmed the above. To take advantage of the offer, you’ll need to go to the store’s customer service desk (not the usual checkouts) between Wed 30 Mar and Tue 5 Apr to exchange your points for vouchers. You can only exchange points for one voucher in each category during the promotion. Make sure you use your double-up vouchers by closing time on Tue 5 Apr or they won’t be valid and you won’t be able to get your points back.

Big thanks to andypandy1 for the original spot!

It can't be beyond the wit of man to do this sort of promotion by handing over your Nectar card as payment and giving double the benefit while doing so.

Why they want their customer services desks to be clagged up with people exchanging points for vouchers I have no idea.

Because groceries aren't included, just the 6 departments quoted above.

Because it'll stop so much benefit from being obtained from the promotion. Every time a number of customers must lose their vouchers or fail to redeem them in time.

Here are the categories this time around: https://livewellforless.sainsburys.co.uk/nectar-double-up-categories/

I'm currently wondering where a portable battery charger falls. I wouldn't exactly call it a battery, PC accessory, a lead or cable or an adapter. I can't see CS being certain either. I'm sure mobiles/accessories used to be mentioned but they're not stated either way now that Mobile by Sainsbury's is no more.

I had this problem in the past, and even when I went to customer services they said they were not certain themselves and basically left the responsibility to guess on my own shoulders. The way I have dealt with this is to take the item/items I want to customer services and then ask them to give me the appropriate voucher. That way if they give you the wrong voucher then the responsibility is on them to fix the issue. This is exactly what happened to me and they just had to put the voucher through manually. I agree it can be a bit of a faf but in the vast majority of cases the relevant department is clear.

If u r local, do a little shop...they often give u coupons for extra points if u buy certain things
e.g 50pts if you spend £5 in dental care, 40pts if u buy their own brand cheese..
ok if u r going to buy them anyway in your big shop!!!:)
