I wanted to post something that is little trip down memory lane and light hearted. I would say 1995 was mine as I was 17 that year and that summer was a good one plus I was leaving school (after 6th form) too. If only time travel was real.

So far last year.... Last year I turned 25 and things finally clicked into place. Relationship, job, money etc.

I have a feeling that this year though could become even better :)

1987. I was also 17. Finding my feet. LOVED college, went on holiday with 3 friends from college, met a BF on that hol I was with for 7 years (bought flat together) and got my first proper job. Did lots of things too like going to Top of the Pops regularly (had friends there) and passed my driving test and had a gorgeous old Beetle that I absolutely adored.

    A fabulous year.

It should have been 2013 the year I got married but my mum was diagnosed with cancer 2 weeks later and haven't had a good year since even this year is starting to suck within 2 weeks of it starting.

I suppose 2002 the year I left school had a fantastic summer hanging out with my then BF in London most days. It was a lovely summer too plenty of sun and I did well in my exams.

TBH haven't had much of a good year since then just stumbled from one disaster to another it blows :(

  • 1996 - great year, I was 16, life was easy, music was great, amazing summer topped of by smashing my GCSEs..

2005 - Moved to London and started an exciting new job, met my (now) wife

2008 - Got married and went on honeymoon. Also promoted at work

2013. A relative had died which brought a lot of relief! I then discovered 'God' and life improved greatly, everything looked really positive - an attitude I needed to get through a bad health diagnosis. I did a lot of things on my bucket list and achieved a lot of the things I wanted.

Since 2014 I've lost some motivation and have struggled to get it back.

2011 so far - we were happy, life was good, we made plans.

I still don't think I have had my best year yet though, they've all been up and down for whatever reasons. This years going well so far but unlikely to be a great year, next year might be a great one.
  • I always try and think that the best year has yet to happen! That doesn't mean that I haven't already had great years - some are better than others, but I think there has been good in every year.

    2015 for me

In 2014 I got married which would have been my best year but the following year I bought my first property, got a job i'm very happy with and became a father.

Going to be very tough to top that unless I win the lottery!
