Options
In the process of disputing a transaction on my debit card.
The company details show as Netacess/Olb Mpi. Anyone came across them and know who they are?
Aps for posting here but it sounds as if it is a techie company.

To be honest the terms "net access" are far too generic to be able to lead you to that specific company as having anything to do with it.

Are you sure you've got the spelling absolutely correct "Netacess/Olb Mpi" letter for letter as it appears on your statement, as "acess" is spelled incorrectly.

yes that is the spelling, I did notice that access was spelt incorrectly but that just made it look even more dodgy to me. It sounded like an internet company but I am with virgin media so would not use another company to access the net.

It seems strange to me that if you are in dispute with credit card company over a payment, that the card company will not supply you with full details of the company that they say you have made the payment to. Surely it is in their best interests to give you the info, to enable you both to resolve the dispute more quickly?

apparently the bank knows as much as I do at the moment until they complete their investigation. I was just curious to know who this company was, this happened to me a few months back and I had money refunded (different company) but even then I was not toldwho they were or how my details were obtained. My card was cancelled and I got a new one but it seems I am comprimising myself somewhere. I do shop online but only with well known companies.

You could always get a credit report from Experian and see if that highlights anything.
