Leggins and tops for £1 at tesco

Today and tomorow (Saturday 11th) tesco have half price sale on womens clothes (with few exceptions). While looking around with wife and MIL someone mentioned that the leggins that are 2 for £8 before the sale where actually going through at 2 for £2. Staff also confirmed this and confirmed the vest type tops that are marked at 2 for £8 where the same.

So the wife, as you would expect picked up a few tops and leggins and we went to the till. Each item (14) rang in at their full price as normal and came to total of £74. When the cashier hit the total button that dropped to £15. Even the cashier couldn't believe it.

When we got home I took a look at my receipt to see what was happening and its simple and basically will work with any items that are 2 for £x.

Lets take the leggins, they are £6 each or 2 for £8.

Buy 2 and they ring in at £6 each totalling £12,

The till firstly deducts £4 to bring it down to 2 for £8

The till then calculates 50% of the full price total £12 = £6 for the half price sale .

and then deducts the £6, bringing it down to £2 total for two pairs of leggins.

Hurry only 29 hours left before sale ends. I'm waiting for one on the mens clothing.

I can confirm this, same thing happened when I went through checkout half an hour ago.

Thanks for this, the tops are great but the leggings aren't so good my 3 week old ones are holey already wouldn't have minded for a £1 though

There are signs up showing the 2 for £2 items at my Tesco! Loads of different tops & leggings

Brilliant find just got 5 tops and 2 leggings for £7.50 and told anyone who would listen too :rotfl:

This was Burseldon, Southampton store lots of tops but leggings mainly 6-8 18-20 left.

today me and hubby got to tesco in Ipswich and i got myself blue top with lace pattern in front which was priced £8. at till they scanned this one as £10 , and should be £4. got to cs , and double the difference = £12

both the tops and leggings stickered as 2 for 8 quid are going through at 1 quid each got 168 pounds worth of stuff for 28 quid :j
