Change of rules for feedback?

It has been a while since I last ebayed but I was told by a friend recently that sellers are no longer able to give feedback about buyers anymore. Is this true?

Yes as masterbrown says you can only leave [STRIKE]a neutral or [/STRIKE]a positive!

You can't leave a neutral either, just positive.

You can't even leave a negative if the winning bidder refuses to pay which is ridicoulous.

You can file a dispute to reclaim your fees, as long as you do this non payers end up being booted off, also other sellers can set their buyer requirements to stop bidders who have received non paying strikes. Leaving red dots never got you any money back and most sellers don't have time to check if buyers have negs for not paying.

I've recently had a PITA buyer who i had to open an UPI dispute against, paid at the last minute, then opened an INR claim the following morning. Needless to say it was sent tracked and signed for on delivery. but they then had the cheek to pester me for feedback!!

This was on a low-use private selling account, so my reply was along the lines of "I did try to leave you feedback, but I could only leave a positive - I'm going to speak to ebay and see what the problem is"

Never heard back from them since that!

yes it is stupid, it means that anyone who uses Ebay only as a buyer will always have 100% feedback no matter how bad they are.

That's why feedback is so unimportant for buyers, it's the strikes that count. I have a page load of people banned from buying my items purely because the system picks up their 2 or more strikes and makes it impossible for them to place a bid.
