Well done on your win yesterday fire**fly :j You must have a great library now!
Sheils, well done on the ticket master win too! :j I once won a £50 ticket master and gave it to a friend as I didn't understand it at the time!
Love the info on hedgehogs Alfie Well done getting the shed all cleared out
Aw that's a shame about the cat Rose, hope it's ok xx Hope you feel better soon too xx
Great news for your sons gf indie I'm debating if to start supply as I think I would get more hours out of it!
Phew, I've got a real sweat on here! It's not like me to be too hot!
DD seems to have had another little seizure yesterday on the bus with me. I'd took the kids to seaside for a treat and we went in amusements but it all got too much for her so we came out and then some boys were throwing them toy snappers on the floor and she couldn't handle the noise. I'm not sure if that's what brought it on with her. I'll be glad when she's back in a routine of college.Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Morning wingo. Used to take my DS to the seaside on a regular basis. He and I loved it. he used to sit there in his shorts and I would tell him enjoy the sun and the warm weather. He does it with his family now. GD enjoys the sun so much the minute she sees it she either phones me or her other gran and we are out. Gs not so much but he loves the heat as well. Just been watching an American thing on bowling balls and they can be really expensive. Have a wooden one so of to research to see if it is worth anything. take care peeps. Hope you are all well0

Morning again peeps feeling ok. Hopefully I will feel ok during the day as I have Ds Dil and two GKs this afternoon for a meal. Making a roast dinner for them at DS's request. So it is chicken roasties and veg as well as lentil soup and apple pudding with cream. I am not a baker but can make the sponge top for pudding.. Can cook though even though I say so myself lol. But not a baker. Can make a bread loaf if I am pushed.0

:hello: Good morning everyone
Hope you're all ok on this glorious Sunday.
It's a beautiful start to the day here so my job this morning
is to repaint the outside of the shed.
I actually discovered a large can of wood paint in the back of
the shed that I had used (many years ago) when I had the
good clear out. It's quite full and on further inspection seems
fine to use :money: so that saves me a bit of dosh! It's a
lovely garden green colour too.
Used a broom yesterday to gently brush away the spiders &
cobwebs from the outside of the shed in readiness for today
but no doubt they'll all be back again. Has anyone noticed
how many spiders there are this year - sooo many!
Ouch rose! Poor puddy cat - it all sounds very painful.
Fingers n' paws crossed for a good recovery.
I heard a couple of local cats having a huge spat yesterday -
it sounded awful. And another local cat has been
missing for a couple of weeks now - he has a habit of
climbing into delivery vans etc - so goodness knows where
he is now! So pleased that my little puddy cat prefers life
indoors! :grinheart
sylv - know what you mean re dog hairs! My cat is moulting
big time at the mo and I have to get the hoover out on a daily
basis.
wingo - I'm pretty certain that something must be setting off
your DDs seizures - but as you say it'll be great when she's
back into the routine of college again. Bet you can't believe
that your youngest will be starting secondary school soon!
Must try to catch up with comps too at some point today -
once again I'm way behind.
Cheers fire**fly & rose! I enjoyed my spritzer so much
yesterday evening that I may to have repeat the exercise
tonight!
Just read your post rose - have a lovely family meal today -
is the pud Eve's Pudding? Love it - delish.
Have a lovely day all and please take care whatever you're
up to!

:hello: Good morning everyone
I hope you're all ok.
The painting of the shed is still ongoing - just the front to
do now - it took longer than I first thought!
Hope you had a well-deserved restful day yesterday
fire**fly. :A
Yes - you were spot on - the spiders are most def getting
bigger! And blow me - they were all back again
yesterday when I went to start painting the shed - didn't
take them long to set up home again!

Been a cold night here, doesn't feel like August at all.
Meant to do some gardening yesterday but Dhs brother came on the phone and stayed on for nearly 2 hrs just as we were going out. On the plus side I did my ironing so that is all done. I made an apple and blackberry crumble for dinner too (using the blackberries in garden before we cut them down!) Going to have it cold tonight mixed with custard and cream.
Hope you get your shed finished soon Alfie.
FF I hope you have more energy today. Sure I would have more if the sun would shine a bit harder!
Good Luck everyone.

Morning. Hope you are feeling better Rose and enjoyed your meal with family. Hope neighbour's cat is doing well.
Firefly great to have a rest day. Hope you have more energy.
Alfie those spiders reappear quick. Reminds me to go out and find some conkers to keep them away this winter.
Wingo holidays are nearly at an end, maybe you should consider agency. Really feel for your DD1.
Sheils great you have ironing up to date. Sun kept coming out here yesterday and then going in pretty quickly.
Hope everyone has a good and lucky week.0 -
Good morning, up early today as going on a trip to a Wool Mill with the knitting group, having lunch there too so time to relax today after all the cleaning yesterday AND I emptied the ironing basket LOL.
I do hope that DD1 is feeling better today as you say it will be good for her to get into a routine but it must be a worry for you.
How is the cat doing Rose, hope he is OK. Had a cat once that used to jump out of the bedroom window but would jump onto the front porch.
Lovely pics today everyone, thanks.
