Lunch today was a cheeky little half a baked spud, topped with a little fish/pea/balsamic mix. All sounds healthy doesn't it But 0.5/10 as I used 30 grams of peas.
Still got the other half a spud, so I have to reinvent the wheel later too for that... might be a pizza topping, have to see how I feel.
I also discovered that you're supposed to read food labels - who would've thought that such a thing as "ripen at home" plums existed? That'll be why I thought they were a bit tough going... so I've shoved the remaining 5 to one side for a few days.
It's MoT day... so might be moody later.0 -

Welcome daz378.
PN, I'm no good with 'ripen at home' I end up forgetting about them until they've gone off. I hardly ever eat plums fresh, I love them but they're too messy. I usually stew them.
Breakfast/lunch has been sausage sandwiches, they were fine four days OOD.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

I feel your pain PN mine is at the weekend. I have no reason to feel that it will fail but then my knowledge of cars doesnt extend beyond ....ooooh thats a pretty colour
Back from Nottingham and to be honest I am ready for a sleep... shame I havent time  Last nights food was pretty awful at a Yates wine lodge. It was a tuna panini which had clearly seen better days. My friend had a burger which looked gorgeous ....why do I always want the thing the other person has chosen....happens every time :rotfl: Fortunately the wine was perfect despite having to watch footy in the background which is always a hazard with this friend lol
So back home and back to entertaining me Im fancying a pizza tonight so I am going to chuck one together with some tuna and anchovies on top my favourite topping....absolutely no pineapple
Enjoy the rest of your thursday everyone x0 -
I never watch live TV now I find I an record and skip all the junk, including the "previously on XXXXX" and "coming next"
If it was down to me, I'd get rid of the tv completely, but Mr LW will never go for that so I have to content myself with doing knitting or cross stitch while the dratted thing is on.
May have to force myself to eat dins again tonight; we have to attend a Mensa meet-up which I'd honestly sooner not go to, and my stomach is doing flippety-flops at the thought of socialising. Unfortunately, it's not something I can wriggle out of, so will have to put my big girl knickers on and go. :cool:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

I find most shop plums are always like bullets, they never ripen, just wrinkle and turn into prunes. I have stopped buying them however many YS they hav on them
MoT, best of luck, before I cottoned on the garage I then used always failed me on "headlight adjustment" despite it never being altered between MoTs
The cheeky beggar then admited it was down the amount of fuel in tank, more fuel, tail down, headlight beam up, collect pounds from mug punter to adjust beams, kerching, I thank yew :mad:
No breakfast again, CBA again
Lunch was tin of sardines on toast, with sliced wrinkly tom on top, quite nice but I think a splodge of L & P would've improved it
Dinner is a fishy meal.
Not planned but I have odds & ends of fresh veggies in fridge, cauli, broc, carrot, parsnip & cabbage, all need using or composting, so decided to steam them and pop in a frozen fish [unknown and uncoated white fish fillet from Lidl] wrapped in tin foil, perhaps nob of butter in the parcel?
Serve with instant parsley sauce from granules
Sounds good, and should be just fine if a bit of a pale meal, serve on white plate, and use the carrot to guide me inEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
I feel your pain PN mine is at the weekend. I have no reason to feel that it will fail but then my knowledge of cars doesnt extend beyond ....ooooh thats a pretty colour
For my next car I'd like one with the same functionality, but much smaller. There are features I like in the car that I'd prefer to have in my next car... and I must get on and research the market.
Just had a call from the garage "all OK". I bought the car in '10 four years old, it's gone through every MoT. In 7 years I've needed new wiper blades, 2 new tyres and a new windscreen. So no actual "repairs". I am finding owning a car too expensive for the use I get from it ... but to give it up and "rent when needed" would work out a higher cost and I'd not have the availability factor of being able to get in it on a whim and go wherever I like, whenever I fancy it....Last nights food was pretty awful .... panini which had clearly seen better days. My friend had a burger which looked gorgeous ....why do I always want the thing the other person has chosen....happens every time
I always look at the menu and see what I'd choose - then ask the other person what they're ordering. If one of what I'd have chosen is what they're having then that's what I choose - in order to avoid that disappointing "Oh yours looks so much better than mine"0 -
Cheese on toast for breakfast...cheese and tomato toasty just now (toasted the bread and it went to cold whilst I was opening a new jar of mayo so bunged it in the microwave for 20 seconds..so only a sort of toasty!)
Aren't I the healthy eating one..0.5/10'I'm sinking in the quicksand of my thought
And I ain't got the power anymore'0 -
Lol I may get my 10+ a day, but on the days I don't work I rarely eat before 5pm and have coffee and tea only before then . So right now I'm drinking yet another coffee.
However I have done some tidying and cleaning; I've even cleaned the chinchilla cage out! Don't know about anyone else but I never want to eat right after cleaning. Coffee, tea or water only as I feel to dirty to eat. I've cleansed my hands at least 5 times and they still don't feel clean enough to eat with. I can't be the only one that feels this way.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0 -
Evening everyone,
Ended up making a sort of scrambled egg "mix up" for lunch and blooming tasty it was, diced pepper, mushrooms and tomatoes, couple of eggs, wee knob of butter and good few drops of tabasco sauce. It was nice and spicy but not too spicy.......:D
It's really cold again here and blowing a hooliy so I'm glad I decided on bangers and mash later. Winter is hopefully having it's final fling......0
