How long are you going for? Many of the coupons are for off strip properties so if it's just a short trip it may not be worth bothering with.

You have to get the MRB from Las Vegas Advisor. The office is a block or so behind Rio. The other one you can look for on Amazon. It may be on sale now since there is less than 3 months left.

Anyone been to Excalibur Steakhouse? I'm looking at the Myvegas $100 credit - will it be easy for 2 people to spend $200 there? We love (and have the) Tender credit but is Excalibur the same cost or slightly cheaper. Just wondering if we should stick to the $50 credit (not huge appetites i.e. only ever have 2 courses but always happy to pay more for quality food as in the more expensive steaks).
    Thank you all who post.

I have my letter from virgin after my complaint.
They don't offer anything for delays but they can give me £35 for the difference in the room price from a west wing to a tower spa suite.

For £35 the difference in the rooms in immense. Tiny room vs large etc.

I also have not been charged a resort fee. So guess that is something.

Going for a week but looking to save a bit of cash!

Noticed one on Amazon for about a tenner!

Sounds reasonable. A lot of the coupons in American Casino Guide are for new customers. We don't tend to get one of those for that reason. We always get the MRB, but we go twice a year.

    Hi.

Really excited to say we are off on our first trip to Vegas in March. I can't wait. Had a couple of questions though if possible.

We arrive Thursday lunchtime so was planning on doing some exploring that afternoon and catching some of the fountain, light and TI shows.
Friday I hadn't worked out what to do yet but I have booked for us to do the Sundance sunset Grand Canyon and Las Vegas strip helicopter rider.
    Saturday- no plans as yet.
Sunday- return to U.K. at about 4:30.

We are staying at the Luxor.

    * Do all the restaurants offer a decent vegetarian choice of foods? Are there any particularly good/bad ones you know of?
    * I wanted to see Phantom of the Opera at the Venetian whilst there if possible, do you know if it has finished? 7 have contacted the ticket sight and they just reply saying they have no tickets at present.
    * Any recommendations for shows to see that particularly stand out.
    * we were planning on bedgeting $100 dollars a day each for casinos. Does that sound reasonable.
    * Are touristy things like the gondola ride in the Venetian worth doing?

Sorry for so many questions, very excited about it all.

Welcome to the club Cher! You'll have a blast.

My personal advice would be to not plan anything for Thursday afternoon / evening. You'll be tired, there'll be jetlag and who knows when it would suddenly hit you. I would recommend not venturing far from your hotel.

You're really not there very long at all. For me I really wouldn't do the grand canyon trip on this holiday - it's a whole day affair and that's a whole day you'll not be able to spend in Vegas, especially when you're only there for such a short time.

    hi cher
and you ll love vegas, though i ve never been in march so unsure about weather at that time(im sure there was a link posted a few pages back)

as for your budget of $100 a day thats very wise and thats what my brother and i did when we were there in june, we d normally split it into 2 x $50, we d usuually wake up , get showered and then play with $50 in the mornings and then if we lose then walk away and not play til later on! prob after 5pm! i would advice to take it nice and slow, just stick to your budget!!

As for Las Vegas strip helicopter rider this was amazing, (we did it at night) and we loved it! take a camera with you !

As for shows it depends what appeals to you.We did david copperfield which i loved !
My brother is a fan of the film titanic and im sure the titanic excerbition is still there in the luxor
There is like a couple of ticket booths on the strip , one is close the mgm grand outside a shop called the grand canyon called tix4tonight which offer discounted tickets for shows that same night/next day shows at discounted prices so a saving there!
It has like a screen which show you the shows on offer.

Hope this helps and any more questions feel free to ask

    Thank you both.

Bobby, your idea of splitting the money into AM and PM sounds excellent especially as it means we can spread the time out and also visit different places with it too.
I think the helicopter ride is 4:30-8 which seems a perfect way to break up the day and means we get to do something incredibly special. We both had our hearts set on it.
I like the look of the Titanic exhibition, I shall be booking that up. I think I might wait for whilst we are there for the shows based on your suggestion. Never know there might be something new on too.

    Thank you again.
