Were Tesco fair?

Was in Tesco earlier today with OH who wanted a certain brand 4 pint bottle of organic milk, but only bottle available had very short lifespan. She approached a member of staff who was picking items from the shelf for delivery customers.
Upon being approached, this member of staff immediately stopped what he was doing and started searching the shelves for another bottle with longer lifespan. He couldn't find one so offered to go "out the back" to find one. He returned very quickly with a long lifespan bottle of another brand (OH preferred brand was not in stock) which was completely acceptable. We thanked him and continued shopping.
Now was this fair? We were treated with courtesy and respect and the required item was found for us, so I cannot complain, cannot claim compensation and cannot write a long diatribe about how bad our shopping experience was at Tesco.

If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

Were Tesco fair? Above and beyond the call of duty I would say.0

As well as good training, you probably have " mystery customers" to thank for this. The old days of the staff shrugging their shoulders have given way to the risk that they are going to get bad marks in a mystery customer report, and get torn off a strip.0

This seems to fail the PVW test in every way - Shouldn't it be in an appropriate forum..?0

If only these were the only issues people had to deal with.0

It is actually praise disguised as a vent as a tongue-in-cheek response to all those posts complaining about Tesco and seeking undeserved compo. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0 -

Was it fair of them to deprive you of a foot-stamping rant in the dairy aisle by giving good service? Only you can decide.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
