Oh beanie, sorry to hear you feel this bad.

Eating crap makes you feel like crap, if you're anything like me. Four things I advise, since you're asking for input:
    - get some frozen veg in and mix up a bowl - peas, broccoli, carrots, whatever you can. Flavour it with sweet chili sauce or anything you like, though not salt if you can avoid it.
    - drink lots of water. You need it even more than usual, if you're eating crap.
    - get some fresh air. Deep breathing in the garden if thats the only thing you can do, but as well as that, walking up and down your road. Thats what I do sometimes if I can't do anything else, and my road is only about 80 yards long.
    - even if you already know *why* you're feeling like crap, write about it. If writing is physically stressful, speak into a microphone - on the computer, on your phone, on an old fashioned cassette recorder, doesn't matter. Try to know why you're feeling bad, get a focus on it.

That last one - I feel generally bad, but when I pinpoint it, and realise I'm putting bad stuff from the past onto the present day, it helps. My word isn't the catastrophe I'm making it out to be, the house isn't actually falling down around my ears, etc etc.

    Sending you hugs.

I don't want to be horrible but if you're waiting to feel your best, you wouldn't get to do much. Just go, enjoy the weekend with people who clearly want your company. As for the doors, eeek!

:D I smiled at this, because I have been hibernating over the last few months, and when I booted myself into just doing it, I felt better emotionally if not physically.......

Have hit a wall on so many levels.
    Emotionally & physically exhausted.
Spent most of the last couple of days sleeping.
    It is what it is.

    Also very skint.
Changed energy suppliers with the MSE deal in Feb & seem to have ended up owing my previous supplier a mere £189!!!!!
    So much for saving money!!!!

Feel so much for you, hit a wall myself over Easter hence, only just getting back on here... hope when I read on, there is a bit of bright light....... to give hope

You sound disappointed that you haven't done anything beanie, but skinty is right - sometimes you need to *not* try to do stuff, so you can rest properly, and *then* do a little bit. Sometimes I'm resting at home, and I even turn the DVD player off, just relax and close my eyes, for ages. Needs must - and then I can get up and do a little bit, when I'm ready, even if its just making a cup of tea.

Karmacat, when reading up how to look after myself better re pacing and fatigue, what was highlighted to me was - rest means exactly that doing nothing - looking at eyelids or just sitting there.... me of course have always treated by picking up a book, knitting, tv, forgetting your brain needs to switch off as well.

Sorry to hear that Lou. Hope you have a better day tomorrow and eat less carp. Folks are right, it becomes a vicious circle. I have just cut out the usual glass in the eve this week as know I have a stressful week in work and need to be in top form. But that's not always easy. So try the baby steps and reward yourself for them.. (Albeit not with ice cream ;))
