Today was a NSD and tomorrow is likely to be one too, so have potted £2.30. DM had change from her spending today and has given it me to pot -- another £3.29 added to my pot :j

Must fill out bus pass application ASAP, bus fares at DM's are extortionate. :(

Hope everyone is doing well :)

Hi, I have potted 5p today - but a very special 5p as it is my very first roadkill !!! It was lying on a seat on the bus and I just picked it up and you would have thought it was a £500 instead of 5p.
    Happy happy xx

Hi again Potters!! I hope you're all enjoyed Tuesday. Another dry, but bloomin chilly day, should be more so tomorrow. I hope we get some frosty for photos!!!! To all our poorly family members, or those who are a bit low for any reason have some {{{hugs}}} to help a little at least, and get well soon. :D
Sue youve given me an idea for an extra income for my pot, Dh hasn't been to the barbers in years - we bought some clippers and I do his, so from now on I'm going to ask him to bung £2 in the pot each time I cut his hair.

Whhooooohhaaay!!!!!! I'm full of great ideas me, mrs-moneypenny, oh yes! :j Shut up jakes-mum, I never asked you! I'm quite chuffed I inspired you to trim your DH's hair...AND still get him to pay for it!!! :T VERY well done with the taxi trip too, you're definitely thinking it all through perfectly!

Ahh Sue! I bet you'd love some home made knickers too :D I could start a whole MSE business making them :rotfl:

DH gave me £1.92 in change for the pot and a lubbly jubbly £2 coin for the £2 coin tin

Me....home-made knickers, jakes-mum?????!! Ummm...I don't think so as I'd be forever.......getting em twisted!!!! :rotfl: Thought I'd get that bit in before you did!! :p Tell you what...you make your DH's and stick a photo of them on here then we'll see! :D They're not padded ones like the "pain heater" you sent me are they?? If they are you'd best make him som larger trousers too as they'll almost act as a nappy!!!! :rotfl: Oh, my word, your poor kids  you've already got them in mind tooooo!!!!!!!

Oh no, 32b3 - yet another victoria sponge muffin takes a hostage. :( You looking for home-made knickers per chance?!!! ;)

I found a £20 note in my coat pocket! I am getting so old I'd completely forgotten I'd put it there for emergencies :o
Couldn't afford to pot it all but did put a fiver in.
(Hugs) to anyone that needs or wants one. Sue and jakes-mum you both make me laugh, thank you :)
    TDx

Excellent work, TheDapster!! There's some good out of starting to lose it then!!!! :rotfl: ...and before you ask...no I haven't!!! :angry:Not sure what you mean about jakes-mum and I making you laugh.....although I do believe she makes every b:silenced::silenced::silenced::silenced:r laugh, especially me!!!! :j
Hello! £2.50 in 50p coins potter today. I'm trying hard to stash all the change I get before I'm tempted to spend it.

In that case then, NeedToBeDebtFree, you'd best pot any you get pronto!!!! Just in case you're ever tempted.....DON'T DO IT :naughty: as you'll have huge regrets come November!!

You very lucky, if not jammy, girl, Tizzi!! ;)

You got it soo right about that 15p, Helen, well done. ;) So sorry to hear the train journey leaves you so terribly yuk (that's how buses affect me), however, that positive attitiude you've got to grips with is really making you think ahead and leave the bad behind! :D Thanks so much for your words: DD had to see her Neurologist today, she's now on steroids and needs another MRI next month to see what's going on as she shouldn't have relapsed so soon. However, we also have to be positive and look for the good. :grinheart

That other challenges is serving you well, Val, your pot too!!
I filled my little pot for shrapnel, so have banked it :) I am keeping the deposit slips for I can add it all up come November.

That's fine, TheCatsandDogsMother, but if you wish, you can always pop the amounts on your signature rather than bother with the slips, up to you, and well done anyway.

Brilliant work, Brass_Triumphant, doesn't it make a difference, and will definitely do over time! ;)

You mightn't have saved quite as much, siju, but at times such as you faced, we all need to save in other ways too, you chose well! ;)

Not to worry, Hicksy, it'll all sort itself out and you'll have 2 great occasions to look forward too! I'm so pleased to hear all's going well with the job.

About time too, mcjordi! I was almost ready to get up a search party for a little guy with a...neck problem!

Ah, bless your DM, Selene, a good day all in all then. Fingers crossed for the bus pass.

I think we can all identify with your feelings on clutching that first roadkill, plumduff!!!!!!! :j Excellent spotting!
    2 x £1 coins for me today.

I like the sound my pot makes now when I drop any change in :D

The difference is stunning once you get a good layer of cash eh, 12 month challenge, almost at a pulpable stage already!!!!!
Have a good night, Potters. :grinheart A great day tomorrow too! Feed those pots well!

    Sue xx

NO!! themstarrynights, your pot's too pretty to smash! More importantly, it's mentioned in the first post that you can retrieve coins (but not notes, if you pot notes) from terramundi pots, using a long knife or a metal ruler. See this specific part:

Thanks! :) I won't be smashing my pot you will be pleased to hear... I tried it out and tweezers are the go to tool to remove the coins.. they came out very easily compared to a ruler... some shaking about is required haha... don't worry though, I made sure I placed all the coins back in after removing to test :P

Also added a £2 coin to the pot today :) found it as roadkill.. don't tend to find much roadkill so was a nice find haha

Whatever you do - DON'T EVER break into your pot, themstarrynights. not even when it's full!!!!!!
As Selene rightly quotes from my 1st post from the 1st page of every year breaking the pots is ONLY what firms want you to do - so they get more and more money when folk buy them again!!!!!! Well done with the money saved, you're doing so well. :D

Thanks Sue-UU :) and yes them firms are clever aren't they, wouldn't of been bad if they made a hole at the bottom.. but I will make sure I don't smash it.. i'm staying with you guys for the year this time, i'll make sure of it so I can keep you all updated.. the sealed pot has made me happy to save and you're all a friendly bunch that it's nice dropping by with updates :)
