:rotfl: Longish version: my uncle and aunt can no longer drive their car due to health problems. They are selling their Kia [name I forgot] hybrid to my parents for a discount, along with chauffeuring duties for my father. My parents are selling their Kia Picanto to us for less than half the secondhand trading price, so €2,500 (GBP 2,100) instead of €6,500 (GBP 5,500). They can't afford to give it to us completely free, but are happy to give a good discount. We will sell my Renault Clio, which I love to drive, and has been very useful, but is a diesel, and I don't drive long distances with it. We use my dh's company car for that.
I feel sooo spoilt! Until I was 36 I only had bicycles and used public transport for longer distances. We only bought a secondhand car when dh got a job in a different city to where we lived; we replaced this car with a new one after about 3 years. Then he made promotion and got a company car with a petrol card. I took the newish car for my commute, and am now saving up for an electric bicycle, as it's only 7km to work, flat roads, with good bicycle lanes. It feels as if we are reaping the harvest of years of diligent attention to work and money.
good for you Siebrie :j the universe is thanking you for taking care of it all these years
just saved £15 buying the bulb offer in the newsletter. Sorting out our garden is one of our goals for this year. We let it slide while we were renovating and then I got an allotment last year so it is a mighty mess right now!
£1.10 for the rest of the washing tabs - thought I would just add them all rather than each day adding 11p!DF as at 30/12/16

That's great news Siebrie well done.
Wombling for me is as follows:
Pair of boots down from £25 to £15 = £10 saving
Pair of boots down from £15 to £10 = £5 saving
Pair of boots down from £28 to £14 = £14 saving
I was in a boot buying mood lol.
Got 2 pairs of specs for the price of one saving £324.00!!! I'm not going to count that as I would never have paid that for one pair so consider them to be £162 a pair instead. That feels more justified to me. xxx0 -

Hi All
A biggie for me today. I have been accepted for a new business account with 25 month's free banking. At the moment it costs me £20 per month to bank so this saving is worth £500!!
I also found a girl's magazine worth £4.99 and passed it on to a friend with a little girl.

That is fantastic! How much do you think you will get for your Clio? Electric bicycle is an interesting idea. Well done on your good fortune. T:T" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D
