Only one of hers is a tiddler. One is 2 and one about 9 or 10 if i remember rightly. Mine can be good, but on days like today they are tired and grotty after a few busy days and have done nothing but fight so no chance to get on.
I started off ok with my 2 today. They were playing in their bedroom while i went through each of their wardrobes and i got rid of loads out of DS2s wardrobe. Poor thing has inherited lots of trousers from DS1 and my nephew, and most of them were a bit ratty where they have been trodden on at the back of the heels. So, i have thrown out about 12 pairs and sorted a few more for the nextdoor neighbour for her grandson that he had grown out of. So a bit further on with my decluttering.
The whole house seems to be really winding me up at the minute as every room in the house seems to have stuff it shouldn't in it. My sister is itching to come and start sorting it out for me but i would literally have nothing left so i am trying to put her off. The kids clothes were an easy hit really, so i might move on and try and get rid of some of mine myself, and DH can do his own. He said he wanted to get rid of some tatty t shirts.0 -

Both of my boys are quite independant and happy to be "working" alongside me IYSWIM. The Littlie can be amused for hours with a dustpan and brush and the bigger will do a 10 item bin dash - or have even been known to do a 15 minute pick-up per room with me once per week. The Montessori school refers to this as "useful work" and EVERYONE does it.
Bear in mind that as a Single Mum I have never had anyone else here to help - so the have always seen that "if you make the mess, you\clean up the mess" - having said that ...............
.................I've spent the whole day writing and the house is looking rather worse for wear so a Power day will be called for tomorrow methinks.

You can send her up to me if you like ............. I could do with of life laundry. My house is bugging me today too - I want it all done now!!!!!!!!!!!!
What I have done is .............
1. Got a local joner to come and put up my stud walls next week - for the cost of the timber (don't ask how - I'm not telling - LOL). He will put up the studs and hang the doors. I will then save up for the plasterboard and persuade my Dad to lend a hand.
2. He has quoted me £80 per window to refurbish - so I am starting with the baby's room.
3. Dad has agreed to come and move all his tools n stuff from my top floor - which means I will have some room to move around in.
4. I've looked out the water-based primer for my furniture and the oil-based primer for the front door (those will be my weekend projects)
5. I have bought a roll of 100 bin-bags that need to be filled up and shipped out by Christmas. Clutter clearing to the max!!!!

:T to that. The house can wait. I did pretty much the same apart from the afternoon when I had to go a buy some shorts for little boy. There were only pink ones left - but he likes them and has noticed that pink 'is a good boys' colour'. I suspect I might have caused 6 years of therapy today - work for my frieds on here.
I am going to concentrate completely on the popular book from next Tuesday till the end of August. Going away for three weeks and have promised myself that I will only wirte, run and play with little boy and OH.
Keep well, motivated and focused - the universe is with us.

Hi MG and everyone.
I have finaly been to the library today and got a copy of the secret; have been total ingrossed most of the evening and have managed 2finish the book from start to finish. I am now busy trying to think positive thoughts and write down exactly what it is I want from the universe; in a way that isnt sending mixed messages. It all seems soooo simple when you actualy think about it its so true.
For example without knowing at the time im sure me and Mr Pink actual orderd this house. We spent sooo long thinking of our own place and saying one day that when we actualy stoped thinking one day and putting wheels into motion we found this place in the 1st days of looking and got it at a reduced price that fitted our budget exactly. The Lady that sold us the property left loads of stuff behind (Curtains, Fridge frezeer ect). I do genuinly believe that this house was bought 2us!
So this has given me the boot i needed to start focusing on what it is I want for us and to believe that it is going to happen (how who knows; its not my part - but im really lookingforward to the journey!!)
I feel so much more posotive than I have in a long time and I believe I have you all to thank for this; its almost as if I was drawn to this thread and I intend to make the most of my new found spirit and outlook.
MG glad 2hear that your plans in the house are coming together and that you are managing to get what you wanted done. Have your boys always been very independant or is it something that you have nurtured along the way? - would love for my DD to be like this and just wonder is there something more I should be doing whilst shes growing up. I do put her down to play with her soft toys and let her have sometime alone exploring them whilst I sit and watch; and I put her in a swing chair whilst I potter doing my cleaning. I try and make sure that I talk to her from where ever I am so shes knows im still about seems happy enough and only really shouts out if I stop talking. Shes is only rather little 4 1/2months but as the saying goes 'start as you mean to go on'

Just a flying visit - decided that between 9am - 12pm I am gong to have a mini Power Day. There are just a few things in the house that can't be put off any longer.
I don't want to lose a whole day cleaning - so I am going to use just three hours - Me, the boys and my kitchen timer (with a notepad to catch the creative ideas as they fly past)
I will be back to read and respond later when the house looks more respectable.

Good morning all
Week 2 of the challenge completed and all still going well. I've lost another 3lbs and am gradually uncovering more of the bedroom floor.
Today's Reward for Good Behaviour was to find a pound coin in the bottom of a long disused bag I was clearing out.
I'm off work today so I'm hoping to get lots of useful things done starting with putting together a bookcase I've bought off ebay (7 squid & exactly the right size to fit in agap in the living room)0
