Hello Ginny, used to be in Stockport and since beginning of this year near Warrington / Salford so Longsight not so close any more. Still arrange to go once a month though. Haven't explored Salford well enough yet to find the best shops. Warrington market excellent and right next to B&M Bargains (can't believe I have reached the stage of life where that happy combination makes my heart beat faster with the giddy excitement of it all!)

I notice that Tesco is selling its UHT milk at 23 pence more a litre than Lidl - shocking, that's nearly five shillings in old money!

Hello FB, would you like to come to our Manchester/NW meetup on 14 August? You could combine it with a trip up to Levenshulme :D

Just saying hello... I've been busy for a couple of days and now have pages to catch up on!
Had a great free day out today, at Big Pit in the Wlesh valleys if anyone knows it... an old coal mine that's now an interactive museum / visitor attraction.
My goodness, those miners had a hard time, it was almost unbelievable how they lived. It was so interesting, and DS loved going down the mine with a hard hat with a light on! Highly recommended if anyone's in the area.
Ooh, and I have an interview on Thursday for the most perfect job in the world... cross everything please!!!
Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.
