  • My neighbour ended up having the boys for tea yesterday and didn't bring them back until 8.30pm!! When I feel better I will buy her some flowers or something because it really made a huge difference. Not only did I get the time to relax yesterday, but DS2 then slept in until 8.30am and DS1 is still asleep! DH has gone downstairs with little'un and I'm still in bed, having been brought some breakfast up :D.
I haven't had a shower since Sunday :o so going to attempt that today as I know I will feel better afterwards. Just didn't have the energy yesterday at all.

Have been looking at my friend google, and it says that a) the twins will most likely have been identical as only one placenta present (only one case in 2003 was fraternal twins with a shared placenta) and b) it could take 2 months to get my iron levels back to normal and relieve the symptoms of anaemia . Wish I'd never looked now!!

Not sure what to do about work on Saturday. Right now I feel there is no way I could go in but I might feel better by then. Do I give them enough time to cover my shift or do I wait and see how I feel by Friday or Saturday?! Don't want to lose more money unnecessarily, but don't want to make myself more ill either.

Connor has slipped to 4th in the competition!

  • Hello Lovely,

Just a random lurker coming on to say hi and I think you are impressive.

I think don't work Saturday, I know it is losing money but it is far more important for you to have time to rest and let your body recover. You probably need a lot longer than Saturday but it is a start.

If you go back too soon it could mean your body complains later on if that makes sense. Nothing else is as important as health.

    take care

  • Thanks Buffy, I know it makes sense. Just worried about how we will manage with no wages, but I'm sure we will. It's free listing on eb@y this weekend so could try to make up for it that way if I can find stuff to list. Xx

  • Morning Lucky :)

Would agree with buffy ref Saturday. Your health is way more important than any money in the world. Maybe what you could do is give your work a 'heads up' as a just-in-case? Means then you can decide nearer the time. Although maybe they don't approve of stuff like that. Depends on your work.

Free listing always a good alternative ;)

Haven't got FB but emailed my friends yesterday to get them to vote and also share the page on their FB. I know a couple have voted so hopefully he'll get pushed back up to 3rd :)

  • Bless you HAW, thank you so much :A.

Can't see me getting into work Sat but have decided not to ring work today. Will probably call them tomorrow or Fri. Managed to have a shower but didn't have the energy to dry my hair so look just as hideous as I did before. At least I'm clean though!

Back in my sick bed :(

I definitely wouldn't go to work just yet. Maybe give it a miss this week and then try going back next week. You need to give your body enough time for your iron levels to improve or you will be absolutely shattered.

PLMBL, been away on my hols so just catching up on the news, i'm so sorry for what happened, lets hope they find out why it happened as it might help with the healing process (if you know what I mean). I thought I was the only one to have a horrendous weekend as I came off my hols to be told my dad had died suddenly. Take care of yourself, work can wait , you need time. Big hugs.xx

Oh Amber, I'm so sorry to hear your sad news - hugs honey

Dear Little Miss Lucky, please listen to your body and stay home from work on Saturday. You are dealing with a lot at the mo, emotional as well as physical and I'm pretty sure the few £s you get for that 1 shift won't make that much of a difference. Pushing yourself too far, too soon, will lead to a bigger financial loss in the long run

take care of you, the way you take care of your boys
