Love this thread! Love reading and seeing all your milestones
I'm aiming to duck under the £1000 (50%) mark at the end of the month so I will maybe be joining you all for a large G&T then!
Have a fab day xTotal Debt January 2017: £2,000 Total Debt October 2019: £300 (85% repaid)
Savings Goals: House Deposit: £15,000/£15,000; Christmas 2019 Savings: £450/£600
Soon to be on my journey of renovating a house on a budget0 -
well done that's amazing progress - also might be worth plotting yourself some smaller milestones along the way.....
Thanks Karen777 - that's a good idea
I've tended not to look too closely at the various balances owed to creditors -beyond looking at the DMP statement each month. But following your advice I've now set up a 'countdown' spreadsheet so that I can see when each creditor will drop off the list. The next creditor dropped will be in August, followed by another in September and two in December. So by the end of this calendar year I'll only have four left as I head into the last quarter.
Doing that small exercise has really cheered me up this weekend -after a really tough week at work, was just the boost I needed.:j0 -
So my debt has just hit <11k! I've done a spreadsheet that shows me my overall mini-targets/milestones based on remaining at my current payment level.
I can now view my DMP statements online with StepChange, so my next challenge is to also add to this as each creditor falls off0 -
Today is the first time I have owed less than £1k in the last 20 years.
98.4% of my £59k now repaid.0 -
Not a DMP milestone officially, but I had a separate thing running on the side with very - and there's now only £104 outstanding on that - which means everything there will be paid off before interest is applied. Phew¤ £25k paid off with Stepchange DMP ¤ Debt Free 01/09/17 ¤¤ Saving for a house deposit by '19 ¤ Savs @ £20,000 ¤

Well done Kirsty. I remember way back, when we were first starting out, that you and myself were on similar time frames to payback. Well done on your efforts, and I hope your enjoying looking forward to getting this last little bit paid off as much as I am. Well done.0 -
Mortgage is now into the 40,000s. Debt owing is under 10,000. Using budget software, tracking spending and staying within the budget meaning money left at the end of the month! Feeling good about finances, which is a great thing after a lifetime of stumbling about in the dark.Feb 2014 to now
Unsecured debt at highest £56,511/now £9,328 83% paid.

Thanks lazer, and well done to you too
I'm so looking forward to getting it finished but I'm worried it will feel a bit anti-climactic. I'm working on stifling those feelings and looking forward to what I'll be able to do with spare money every month!:j PAID VERY, Barclaycard x3, Vanquis, Natwest, O/D, Tesco & MBNA x2 PAID :j LBM 24/07/15 - Original Debt: £0/31010.23 (100% paid)
