I requested from the DVLA information on who had obtained my information around the alleged date. They sent me a letter and a copy of the v888/2 used, I don't have it in front of me but I'm pretty sure it was in the name of One Parking (or what ever they were trading as then). It was stated that it was for a PCN as well.

Actually I didn't know to question it, as I didn't know there was even a v888/3 for them to use, now you have me questioning what form they sent me. Let me double check when I've got it in front of me.

Assume for the moment they used the correct form which as you say would be a v888/3 does the DPA still apply/limit the extent to which my data can be passed on?

mil will pass the buck back to the PPC for breaking the kodoe and say they bought in good faith

in other cases the PPCs have simply said "sorry guv , wont do it again" to the DVLA , and had there hands slapped

in the case of UK parking (non ltd) the were not registered with the IPC at the date of the sale LTD (as a company) were , therefore the owner Steven Paul CHEETHAM is guilty of an ICO offence
If the DVLA and ICO had any real balls, those PPCs would not just get their hands slapped - they'd get their hands cut off completely.

But neither organisation has any real balls, they sold those to the highest bidder a while back.

if they applied using v888/3 , specific to parking Cos , they got your details and passed them on , not sure if the offence is by using electronic or paper , however the paper version clearly states

my knowledge. I will not use the information that I am given
for any other purpose than that stated in section 5. I am aware

So it was actually a v888/3 (that will teach me to post without having the document in front of me)

Other then the MCOL this is everything I've had from Mil

Why does it make a difference that they are not a member of the IPC now? They were (just) when the information was given out by the DVLA.

I'm not sure I follow your point about the name?
