OP, why do you want to know whether it's UK bought and whether you will get (I presume you mean, original) receipt? Are you a filthy scammer? Because that's what that Q would mean to me and I would block you and ignore.

What on earth do you mean?

This thread has been a lesson for me in the character of some of the sellers on EBay treating would be buyers with so much contempt. This confirms my decision not to buy from there unless very low price/desperate or a big company outlet shop.

But thanks to those who have taken the time & trouble to help the question/s posed in my OP.

So, playing devil's advocate for a minute, you are going to stick with "big company outlet shops" which have far worse feedback on eBay than small sellers and "unless very low price" where you are likely to find the most useless goods.

My original question is answered & my sum up is here & I am unsubscribing as I really am in too poor health to want to debate further.

So you're not going to say why you want the original receipt then?

Most people selling DSLR cameras will know IMHO.

Most people buying will have already checked out the camera - and if they havent - it takes seconds to check the 'shutter clicks' on Google.

I wouldn't dream of emailing Tesco or Argos, asking them specific details on an item - its quicker to get it myself.

Strangely enough, a work colleague was letting off steam last week, about the hassle of selling a camera on eBay.

He was not just asked about the original receipt but to email a high resolution scan of it (presumably to prove it was genuine). Also the listing stated that he still had the box and all the original packaging, which prompted a request from the same source to supply photos of the box and all the contents.

Convinced the buyer was trouble in the making, he was promptly blocked without receiving any reply. The camera has a starting price of £99.99 and has a starting bid. My friend reckons he'll be lucky to get £150 - hardly 'top rate optics'!

It'd be very unlikely that I'd have the original receipt for anything more than 1 - 2 years old, I've been decluttering and stacks of paper has gone in the shredder.

If I was asked to provide a receipt, I'd be blocking that potential bidder for sure.

OMG Why on earth would anyone help insurance scammers by sending them "high resolution" copies of receipts? They are not interested in buying your products at all, they got what they wanted when you sent the receipt.
