Magazine Comps

Thanks so much CP, and everyone else, really appreciate all your hard work. Love the idea of the answer being next to each comp too, so thanks again to whoever thought of that.:beer:

Whilst I appreciate all the hard work and effort that has gone into the new thread I'm sorry to be a spoilsport but I hate the new thread.

I now have to go into each link to see if I have entered the comp looking for the green tick which takes twice as long (the list in post 2 of the 'magazine dailies' thread). Also with the new posts I have to 'thank' to know if I have entered or not (e.g post 23 of the 'magazine dailies' thread) . I used to thank posters regardless of whether I entered or not so now have to change that habit so I can work out which ones I entered or not.

This is the reason I don't touch the Puzzler thread which I just found too confusing to follow (my view no one elses please note).

I used to find the dailies in the main board easily either by posters, who I think are wonderful btw (who tend to be the same ones) or by looking at the board times after midnight when many (not all) were posted. Plus one could also use the 'search' function.

I'm not against change but for me personally I don't like it. Put it down to me being an old fuddy duddy :rotfl:. I will learn to adapt if the new thread 'sticks'.

What would be handy and I've always thought this since the 'green tick' function came in would be some way of marking the list of all the different comps (e.g. the list in post 2 of the 'magazine dailies' thread) so one would know if you had entered it or not without clicking on the link to find out.
