Great 'Mums: what would you like for Xmas?' Hunt

Last week we asked Dads what they really want for Christmas, so it's only fair we ask Mums what they hope to get (even though Mums are generally better at feigning delight, come Christmas day).

Well, I'm not getting anything this year (my daughter is too young to buy for me), but in an ideal world I'd like some baby free time to myself, maybe an afternoon to relax. And maybe a new Xbox game, plus wine and chocolate. :D

Life can be so full on with a small child and work, so getting a bit of time just to sit and relax (in peace, with a hot cuppa) is a rare thing.

A stack of magazines and an afternoon 'off' to read them. add a large bar of chocolate, and that would be perfect.

Some stress-free, quality time with my family. Work and other commitments get in the way so much these days it would be nice to just get some time off to enjoy their company without looking at the clock and thinking "Right, in x hours I need to be...." :)

I'd love a chance to finish a book! And stuff for university! As a gift, I'd like one of his art pictures framed. It's Picasso to me! :D
Up and onwards to the future!

No arguments, no ' it's not fair', no 'he's got x' just chill and enjoy it you lot!
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

Too late for this year but next year I'd really like my husband to remember to write and post his fair share of the Christmas cards, especially those to his own daughters.

Just chocolate for me! Though I would rather have half a dozen specialist hand-made ones than a huge box of cheap ones.

My son to get a job and be happy about it.

Not to have to do any washing up over the vacation.

I would like everyone to pull together with a big effort to get the last few jobs done so we can all relax properly. But they just go onto a go slow as we approach the holiday.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.
