Default Massive Magazine Subscription Freebies

What’s the deal?

There are a range of glossy women's magazines with cut price subscription deals, which throw in freebies - often worth far more than what you'll pay.

What's the catch?

All these offers involve paying by Direct Debit, and the magazine hopes that after the cut price deal ends, you'll won't cancel the Direct Debit and start paying full price. Yet don't feel you need to do that, you can simply cancel the Direct Debit once the cheap period is up... (and the free MSE Tart Alert can be used to help)

There may however be a minimum subscription period you're signing up to and with any magazine it's worth checking for that. The offers below are checked out at the time of writing - but terms can always change.

The best current offers

There’s a dedicated Magazine Offers Thread, where MoneySavers hunt out the latest magazine loopholes. Thanks to all the MoneySavers there who contributed, and helped provide info for this. Its worth noting these deals do tend to be... while stocks last.

Here’s a round up of the current best offers:
  • The offer. Sign up to Marie Claire magazine, and not only do you get six issues for £6 instead of £19, but it throws in £42 of posh Aveda goodies for nowt.
What you get. Free full size Aveda Replenishing Body Moisturiser and Shampure Soy Wax Candle (together worth £42).
How to grab it. Go to www.marieclaire.co.uk/av and quote code 552Z.
  • The offer. Sign up to Elle magazine through subscription website Magazine-group, and currently you can get six months for £6, plus it’ll throw in a free Lacoste perfume. Update 10am, 14 May:after we included this in the email, the company changed the terms and conditions of this offer to say the minimum subscription term is 12 months, so it's now not such a good deal.
What you get.Lacoste Touch of Pink perfume (50 ml), worth £32.
How to grab it. Go to the Magazine-group to sign up.
  • The offer. Sign up to Glamour magazine, and you can get six months for £6, plus a free Intimately Beckham perfume. Update 10am, 14 May: The subscription site is currently down, try again later.
What you get. Free Beckham Intimately Night for Her perfume 30ml, worth £19.
How to grab it. Go to subscription.co.uk/glamour to sign up and enter code 2984.
Grab extra cashback on top ...

Even better, sign up via cashback sites and you’ve a chance of making up to £5 cashback on top.

Cashback sites are specialist websites that list retailers and product providers. They get paid by the retailers if you click through them, but importantly they then give some or all of this cash to you (provided you've registered which is free).

However, this only works when you’re signing up through a subscription website, such as magazine-group, rather than directly with the magazine. This cashback isn’t guaranteed, as cashback sites don't always let you combine two offers. It's definitely worth a try though.

If you're a first time cashback site user, please do read the full Best Cashback Sites article for a full explanation of the pros and cons. Plus to see how the different sites payouts compare use the Cashback Sites Maximiser

Thanks to all the peeps on the Magazine offers thread who suggested tips, this separate post was created so we could give everyone the full lowdown.

Where do you put the promo code, as it keeps going to take my bank details without it-is this correct?

Thanks

Thanx for the news about the freebies - What a cheap way to try a different perfume: £6 for 6 magazines AND a £32 bottle of perfume - well chuffed!

I am having the same problem, does any one know if the free gift are dependent on this code? Or is signing up a sure bet to receiving them (I guess on a first come first served basis)

I went through the whole order for marieclare on-line and there was no opportunity to add code. Called IPC and they suggested ordering over the phone and cancelling the on-line order. The code I gave brought up the gift details so fingers crossed!

yes but with the elle magazine and free purfume it says must be six month promo and after the six months for six pound you have to pay at normal price minus 15% so not as good a bargin? Have I understood that right as you cannot cancel after six months.

I sometimes give myself admirable advice, but am incapable of taking it.

I did the same and ordered by phone with no problems. Code given and was told it includes an Aveda gift (he wasn't able to confirm it was moisturiser AND candle, as it just comes up on his screen as "Aveda Free Gift".

Number is : 0845 676 7778, Code : 552Z.

Do they only have a certain amount of these available or is it for everyone?

A lot of magazines its the first 50 people to subscribe or whatever that get the freebie

Don't know if this is available to all but I subscribe to Scrapbook Inspirations Mag - they sent me a letter offering me 3 issues of Papercraft Inspirations for £1 plus a gift of a heat gun and 3 embossing powders, a craft tote bag or a papercraft kit (mystery but will be either K&Co or Paper Cellar) - again same routine in that you have 60 days to cancel or else this will continue on direct debit.

Offer ends 31 July 2008 you need to quote ref D008.
