Default £25 spray tan session for the price of a £2 magazine, plus free coffee and cake!

What’s the deal?

This month’s (June) Glamour magazine comes with a raft of offers, including a free a £25 spray tan session and a free iced drink & cake. The mag costs just £2 (or £1 in some areas) and these first two freebies alone are worth nearly £30, so it’s well worth picking up a copy.

As always, some store staff get a bit shirty when you take vouchers in, but most stores are fine.

The freebies
  • Free spray tan at the Tanning Shop (£25)

What you get. Free California Spray Tan worth £25. You can either have it applied in a private booth in 60 seconds or by a therapist in 15 minutes.

Where are they. There are lots of Tanning Shops in London, and many major English and Welsh cities, though none in Scotland. Before buyng the mag, call 0800 587 2583 to find your nearest participating salon, or find your nearest Tanning Shop and ask if its accepting the vouchers.

How to claim. Mention GLAMOUR when you book and present the voucher at your appointment. One voucher per person. .

    Dates valid: 8 May – 5 June
  • Free drink & cake at Coffee Republic

What you get. Free iced drink (iced Mocha, Iced Caf! Latte, Iced Pepermint Chai, or Iced Americano) and free cake (Lemon Shortbread, Caramel Flapjack or Strawberry Yoghurt Flapjack)

How to claim. Simply take the voucher to a Coffee Republic. One voucher per person. Find your nearest Coffee Republic.

    Dates valid: 8 May – 5 June
Discount vouchers

It also includes a few discount vouchers:
  • A free bottle of wine with your meal at Strada
  • 20% off Armani exchange (valid until 5 June)
  • 20% off at HQhair.com (valid until 5 June)
  • 20% off food at Living Room bars (valid until 22 May)
  • 20% off manicures at Nails Inc (valid until 12 June)
Thanks to sally06 on the magazine thread for the brilliant spot. This separate post was created so we could give everyone the full lowdown.

What a brilliant reason to justify buying another magazine - and if I use some of my coupons in Tescos, it will work out free anyway.
I will make sure I have the mag in my hand before I phone up and book the session. Don't want there to be any reason for them saying NO !!

dont worry i rang and book my place yesterday and have a slot this saturday and hope to grab my mag today...they are very insistant that the voucher is brought on the day so just as a caution for anyone who forget to bring it with them or try to push their luck without buying the mag.

great promotion as i have never had a spray tan before and its a great opportunity to try one for free even if you come out orange for a few weeks.

Is the amount of tan used the same for everybody? Supposing a very large person goes - do they get the same amount as a smaller person.....

My copy only cost £1 too - the £1 is printed on the magazine so I would imagine its the same everywhere?

I got the last copy though I rang the Coventry branch of the Tanning Shop as I will be there on Saturday and was told I don't need to book, just turn up on Saturday afternoon (I suppose it does only take 60 seconds to apply!) The lady on the phone told me to exfoliate really well before I go. So I suppose my only other expense is an exfoliating glove

Oh, and i've never tried a spray tan before but have been curious what it would look like on me! (I am rather pale most of the time!)

The world's most unhelpful list of retail branches - utterly illogical listing! I had to use my brower's search function to find the branch in Blackpool as I couldn't be fagged to keep scrolling up and down!

My daughter had one of these spray booth ones done for her prom. Should have been £25 there was a voucher in the local paper for a tan for £10.

Hers turned out really well, even if she did look rather tanned but it was nice and even.
You have to go without make up ( counts me out, too scary!!) so you get a good even finish all over. Also no deodorants etc on the skin. You get provided with little plastic type slippers which cover the toes and feet area.
From what i remember, she said it was a little scary as you stood in there and there was markings on the floor where to stand and a buzzer went off when you had to turn around. You had to make sure to face your palms the right way and to keep your arms lifted away from your body.

Well worth having a go for this price. Gives you the chance to see how well it works and wether it suits you or not.

For those of you who are not sure which stores are participating in this offer, here is a link from the Tanning Shop website that lists participating stores only.

http://www.thetanningshop.co.uk/shop...ype=PromoSpray

It's a shame not all stores are participating.

I am a fellow "flakey" [that's me, scratching] but I'm tempted because they say: "With the push of a button the session begins with a fine mist of Aloe Vera enriched sunless-tanning solution being sprayed through the nozzles."

I like aloe vera. But I suspect, because we produce new skin at about eight times the rate of normal folk, that the sun tan would only last a few days. Why do you think we might go orange?

Any other psoriasis sufferers ever tried this?
