My mate has just called me, she lives in chester, apparently due to the news today about 72 of the 400 stores closing, those which are closing have 70% off of everything as the must close by the end of the month.
She picked up trainers for under £10 and kids for £4, training shirts were £9, weights were £18 for a really top end set etc.
Maybe we could list any stores that are closing on this thread as no doubt those stores that are closing will empty pretty quick! She said the stuff was going FAST! So rubbish will only be left soon!

They have had sales practically whole of last 12 months, but this is 70% off everything in those 72 stores and started 9am today. So the BB Stand would have been £39 etc. You still had fantastic bargain though!!!0 -
Any idea how long before a list of the stores closing down is released?0

Just phoned Exeter and both stores staying. No cheap trainers for me but good news for the staff (if they consider a long term career at JJB a good thing that is).Blitzkreig Bob says Hi to those checking his validity!0

I just never clicked when I went into the old JJB store here a couple of weeks ago!! It had been re-named as olympus clearance or something like that.
I picked up a pair of le coq sportif trainers for my DD and paid only £6 - loads of bargains to be had though - my friend got 2 pairs of shorts and a polo shirt for £4 for her kids and I saw a pair of Ikon shoes marked down from £60 to less than a tenner.
As I said this was a couple of weeks ago so I'm not sure what the situation is now - could be worth a try though if you're close by0 -
