Asda Pineapple Chunks.

Went into Asda on Saturday and bought a 432g can of their own brand pineapple chunks. Shelf edge price was 38p. Scanned at 48p, which is the price of pineapple slices. So went to CS and got my 10p along with £2 on my Asda gift card.
Went in today and saw they were still priced 38p, so bought another tin. Charged 48p again. Back to CS where the girl remembered me doing this on Saturday. She seemed quite amused as she credited another £2. I told her I'd be back Thursday for another go!

I used to get overcharged on just about every visit to Asda. But they have certainly improved over the last year or so. I have to work harder now for my £2's on the card.
I save all the accumulated money on the card till Xmas and use it for cases of wine!0 -
Thought I would move this over to the shop board, as its not really a grabbit thread. Well done on the £2 gift cards!!!0

I bought a bottle of ardbeg at 17 quid or so, when I got home I'd been charged 23 or so
It was a 3 weeks before I returned there, the 17 quid label was still on the shelf, customer services said it was the wrong price and would not offer any compensation, though I had the receipt0 -
If it was Asda you are entitled to the difference back, plus a £2 gift card. No question.
Asda say they have a "no quibble" policy. I enforce this ruthlessly at my local branch.0 -
I'm off there again today
If the price tag is still there I shall have to push my luck0 -
what is the overcharging policy in other supermarkets.
i have found in tesco and morrisons that you just get the amount overcharged and nothing else am i doing something wrong

I mentioned the Asda policy of £2 card early in the thread and other users have been seeking clarity as originally it was worded so that you received one card per item overcharged but it appears this is now restricted to per transaction. Still if you have time on your hands and a sudden craving for pineapple chunks there is a profit to be made here.
Send the kids through the till with one tin each and reward them for their moneysaving deed with the £2 card to shop on your next visit thus giving them a freebie and teaching them a valuable lesson for later in life.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

Last time I was overcharged at asda I diddnt get the £2.00 gift card and talking to my friend she diddnt either so dont push it in birmingham because you just get the refund not the £2.00 anymore!
