New incentive and new found determination - my debt diary!!

Options
Here is my new debt diary (which I WILL keep posting on, no matter what happens or how ill I get!!).

I have got a new incentive to get debt free and it's given me a whole new sense of determination. I have to admit that I was falling of the DFW wagon as I wasn't getting anywhere fast (I know that everyone feels like that) and my health wasn't helping matters.

Anyway, my fiance and I have set our wedding date for 28th April 2012. I know that is 4 years away, but my fiance really wants us to be debt free before we get married and he will be debt free by 2012 as his loans finish then (hopefully sooner if he can manage it). Also, I want to get married more than anything so want to make sure that everything is right before we do (if that makes sense).

A bit of background for anyone that doesn't know me, I have got Cystic Fibrosis and I've been with my fiance for the past 7 years but we only got engaged in December last year.

So, I need to clear my debts (stands at around £35,000 which is a lot I know - no excuses, just went mad for a period of 3-4 years and am now paying for it!!). I'm just going to take them all one at a time and post my progress on here.

My methods for doing this are:
  • Obviously my job (get just over £1,000 a month but only do 30 hours a week)
  • Working on AQA (very slow at the moment, but it is possible to get £500-£600 a month on there)
  • Mystery shopping (mainly do this for the freebies but do manage to make around £50-£100 a month from this
  • Selling competition prizes (don't win as much as I used to but only do free internet ones now - still win a bit though like £300 Toys R Us vouchers last week :D )
  • Carboots (selling stuff that I get for free from friends, family & freecycle (only stuff advertised as carboot items though) - I'm hoping to do a couple a month so I can get £100-£200 a month from them).
Will be joining in other challenges to help me out but I will keep posting on here to keep my motivation up and everytime I clear a debt, I'm going to treat myself :D .

She is doing really well thank you. She's 1 in May, the time has just flown by.

She's got a little wave now and knows when to do it and she has perfected a head shake for no but refuses to nod for yes. She loves to jump up and down (being held of course) and gets mesmerised by the opening credits of Golden Balls!! :rotfl:

I don't know what we would do without her :o .

Will have to get my selling face on, got a bloke coming over on Thursday to look at buying my desk and chair for £60 :j .

It's just taking up space in my room and was a dumping ground for rubbish. Plus I wouldn't have room for it when I move in with my fiance so the money will be better off going towards a debt. Also it will give me space to store some carboot bits ;) .

I've got an old O2 bill that I have been paying off gradually (from my excessive days of text comps  ). This now stands at £200 (I know, I know ) so I want to get that clear so I can cancel the contract (have now changed to pay as you go). This money will go towards that (providing he buys it of course!!).
