been with e2save for 4 years now but only this year its been a mess.
first the cashback calc on the e2save website states my 1st claim needs to be posted by 31/12/07 when i rang them to ask what needs sending in the advisor said you have to have been with us for 120days before you can submit your first cashback claim meaning i had to claim by 31/01/08 instaed of 31/12/07 (as given by the cashback calculator on e2save website). the advisor sent me an email as 'proof' in case future probs were to happen so now im sending the claim during the first week of jan 08.
also i was told should you incorrectly send in two cashbacks as at incorrect times (too early for instance) that would invalidate future claims.
in effect you lose out on future cashbacks.
and also to send the front sheet of the ORIGINAL bill not any copies.
i have three nokia clearences and 5 claims of £108 to make on each phone (thats £540 x 3) - YES a lot of money.
As for the future, i dont il be buying from e2save. they have become far too 'nit-picky' and iv had heard too many negative stuff and this just doesnt justify the risk (thts what i now deem it to be) of getting a cashback from them.
in the last 12 months my own experience.
- want original bills
- given wrong claim dates
- e2save have changed address so now claims are processed slower as claim forms are being forwarded to a new address.
- introduced two strikes rule (claim incorrectly twice and you forfiet the lot)
- throw in insurance and tmti (handset support) as standard you have to request to cancel (should you forget you are charged)
- time taken to speak to a customer service advisor is from 10mins onwards.
- rude operators
- unclear cashback dates all it says is claim from months 4/6/8 etc instaed of being specific saying send your 4th months bill in etc
- on one occasion when i rang the cashback line 2nd week of December 2007 the line was dead! no ringing - nothing!
i'm not happy with the service. its far far too nitpicky and ambiguous and its not at all what it once was.

Not news. Join the line of people who have turned from cpw as a result of the IIC. By the way, not two strikes - just one. All of it has been well posted on here on various threads. I have been warning about them for a few months now but many still fall into the trap of advising others to use them because they were great last year. Make sure your claim dates are correct. Don't rely on what they told you OR what's on the account - that's often incorrect or at best vague. SOMETIMES it's correct. You MUST send the WHOLE bill (original) and NOT JUST THE FIRST PAGE. Should you send a month early they CANNOT exclude current or future claims - it's absolute rubbish as those who've done just that and threatened legal action have confrimed.
Take little notice of what they say - you must follow the legal t&c and if you don't understand those you're likely to be in trouble. It's better to fall foul of their way of doing things and sue than to do as they say and not be able to sue when they change their minds again or deny telling you something. Let them break the legal t&c and you can always fall back on them; break them yourself and you have no recourse if required.0 -
its a shame, i remember at one time they were real good0
