Just come back from tesco with a thomson pvr - down from £99-99 to £79-99. Seems to work very well at the moment, much better than my old pvr. Should have series link as well - not tried it yet

series links works perfectly - this really is a bargain, just as good as the sky+ I had a couple of years ago with 70hrs recording:beer:0

This can be had for £75 delivered (after Quidco) from www.johnlewis.com There is a £20 voucher code on £100+ spend on HUKD, so just add an acceptance card £1 to the order to take it over £100, apply the code and Robert's yer Mother's brother. You don't even need to leave your house, JLewis give out a FREE 2 YEAR WARRANTY as well.
PS If you have absolutely no interest in TopUpTv, you may like to think about selling the TUTV starter pack that should be included in the box on ebay. Prices vary but have reached anything up to £30!

Good question which troubled me at first. After a bit of research it would appear that the starter pack is no longer available to purchase separately, you now need to purchase the thomson box to get it. Rarity value for people who have a card slot in their existing freeview box but no way of getting TUTV in it without investing in a new box? Nice thing about ebay is the evidence is there for all to see (although prices have eroded somewhat on account of the sudden upsurge in mumbers of people selling the packs, probably as a result of my thread on HUKD)

Can you record two programmes at once?0

An unequivocal YES! It's easily the most feature-rich PVR at anything like the money it costs.0
