ok...so i decided i wanted to find and print everyones..well those that i could find...storecupboard lists.
after much searching of indexes etc yes there are several threads but must of them are just a few items etc.
what is your FULL storecupboard list...the items that you simply must have in,your oldstyle bible for grocery musts!!????

    Thriftlady's fully comprehensive storecupboard list

    Baking supplies- Flour-plain, self-raising and bread (wholemeal and white)
    cornflour
    oats

    baking powder, bicarb, yeast, gelatine, food colourings
    choc chips, cocoa, coconut, sunflower seeds
    sultanas, dried apricots, raisins

    granulated sugar, demerara, soft brown sugar, icing sugar, golden syrup, black treacle

    Dry goods- oat cakes, ryvitas, popcorn kernals
    long grain rice, brown rice
    pasta-spaghetti, lasagne, macaroni,penne/fusilli
    barley
    Dried milk

    dried pulses-chick peas, mung beans (for sprouting), kidney beans, haricot beans, red lentils, green lentils

    Tins and cartons- tomatoes, tomato puree, passata, tuna, mackerel, baked beans, peaches, pineapple, mandarins
    UHT milk (for yogurt), apple juice, orange juice

    Sauces and flavourings- Worcester, soy, mayo, honey, mustard (Dijon, English), marmite, stock powder, ketchup

    jams, jellies, chutneys, pickles (all hm)

    wine vinegar, olive oil, sunflower oil, lemon oil (can no longer get this 3/2/09)
    large selection of spices and herbs
    sherry, vermouth, brandy

    tea, ground coffee

    Fridge- eggs, milk, butter, yogurt (hm),
    bacon, ham,
    cheddar, parmesan

    Freezer- pittas, hm loaves and rolls
    berries (home picked/grown)
    peas, sweetcorn
    Whole chickens, mince, sausages, hm chicken stock, whatever fish I've bought for the week

    Frozen fruit & veg from garden (lots of Rhubarb at the mo')

    This is what I always have in stock, other stuff comes and goes according to current tastes.

    thanks thriftlady and newleaf....thats exactly what i was after.

    thanks queenie..i had looked at that thread but only pooky's was a 'fully comp' one so i printed that....any chance of yours queenie?? as a regular and regular contributor of many great recipies and ideas i would be glad to see yours.

    I've had to edit it half a dozen times - I keep thinking of other things tucked away! Most of these are things you don't need to replenish very often, thankfully. We grow what we can, and freeze it. I make all our Jam and some pickles & chutney. We are both keen cooks and that helps a lot.

    One of my many previous jobs was working in contract catering.
    I came to the conclusion, that you only needed to know two things.
    1) How to get out of the !!!!
    2) What to do with the left overs.
    I have applied this many a year in cooking at home, and it has saved me a pretty penny.
    Oh, and don't work in contract catering, it is a vicious game.
