Asda taking all vouchers ** UPDATED** see 1st post

Options
Been in asda today and i was told at the checkout while handing over 2 vouchers that i can now use all vouchers whether they stock the product or not.

And there is no longer a 10% of shopping value they will take as many as you have i just got £7 off a £34 shop so i was pleased.

She also told me that not all the tills have been changed over yet so they had to call some one over to accept it but it was all in B/W as she showed me the store leaflet that has all there voucher info on.

UPDATED INFO ~ reply to the email i sent (Hello, my friend just come back from the local store and told me that you have changed your policy on accepting coupons that you now accept all coupons and not limited to 10% is this correct as i would rather save embarrassment at the check out as i have about £3.50 of vouchers and only about £20 of shopping to do.)

Thank you for your message.

Dear ANGEL

Thank you for your email.

At present with manufacturers coupons its down to the stores discretion as to how many they accept, so I'd check with the store prior to visiting.

Internet coupons -

We are currently reviewing acceptance policy as the way forward with many well know companies is to go down the 21st century route of internet coupons rather than the tech manually distributing them to households. In the mean time I can confirm that we do accept internet coupons. Under the same stringent conditions as old style manufacturers' coupons

1 That they are in date
2. That they are specific to ASDA and not a different retailer (non Asda)
3. We stock the product

All accepted internet coupons attract the usual handling charge which becomes store income.

One temporary rule until we decide a more comprehensive policy is-

Only 1 internet coupon per product item in any single transaction - Unless the customer actually buys the product and in multiples that reflect he number of coupons tendered.

Hope this helps and we can look forward to serving you again soon.

Yours Sincerley

Interesting, a scan of this leaflet would be great for us all to see. Does there seem to be any time limit or restrictions on it?

All our local Asdas in Crewe, Stafford and Stoke have always been very strict about the 10% rule - not tried Winsford. I also tried LLandudno a couple of times and they seem to take no coupons at all. I tend then to just do the odd bit of shopping at Asda for items cheaper than Tesco and I then use up any coupons that wont scan at tesco and small value coupons.

I think if Asda want to compete with Tesco on a serious basis they will have to give in and accept all coupons. Fingers crossed the leaflet appears around here, I really am fed up with our little Tesco :rotfl:

To quote Victor Meldrew ........... I don't believe it.

I went in on Monday where the dirty looking bloke on the checkout said you can't use that as you haven't bought it. Hope I'm wrong as I could give them some real stick at the moment. LOL :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

That would be great indeed, hardly ever had any success with coupons in my local Asda. Will definitely shop there more often if the policy has changed. :j

  • Still saying 10% in mine as of today, will check in a couple of days.
  • How amazing would that be if Asda took the same as Tesco via money off coupons.

I would love to have a change and go to a different store now and then but because I love getting things for nothing ;) I live eternally in Tesco's :)

  • And to think I've been spending the last couple of weeks getting my head around the Tesco threads!!! Asda is so close for me, it would be great it they were to accept all moc's!!!:T :T :T :T
