My First Nappy Cake

I made this for my best friends boys christening.
it cost me around £25.00 to make, the nappies where the most expensive. and it contains so much more than the ones i've seen online to buy for around £80+
inside there is a money tin, bibs, socks money off coupons and a toothbrush.
i got some stuff off ebay, some from woolworths and the pound shop.
it will be cellophane wrapped with a big silver bow, before being presented.

here's a site on how to make them.

instead of using wooden dowels, i rolled up a piece of silver card secured with tape, i only needed it to hold the top tier on as the money tin was tall enough to hold the second tier on.
my only worry is that my friend won't believe i made it. but it was really simple.

Wow that looks fantastic and such a novel thing to do. I bet your friend will really appreciate it as it is personal and obviously a lot of thought has gone into it. I agree with nealallen you should do it for a living. You could even try selling on ebay with a choice of different 'fillings'.Now debtfree except for the mortgage!0
