Fantastic pictures everyone. I made one for my new grandaughter last week and when DIL saw it she became really emotional and loved it. I wasn't very money saving as this is my first grandaughter but some of the stuff was handmade. I made a pink blanket which I rolled up and put in the middle of bottom layer. I also made a receiving blanket from flannel fabric and used that to wrap around the nappies of bottom layer. These are so easy but as said before fiddley to make. Instead of wrapping in cellophane I used tulle I had bought when in America cost me $1 a yard.

Why not pick up some things each time you shop and also look out for baby freebies there is a link somewhere on this site. I have another to make in September for another grandchild and plan to look for freebies.

What a great gift to receive. What an excellent idea, very unusual.
