I was considering Tesco but this could be good too and no need to move after six months.0

My wife tried to transfer money from our Liquid Gold account with the Halifax today & they said the sort code provided by Sainsburys was not on their system, does it need to be a current account0
-
Sainsburys Bank sort code is 12-60-60
I use Halifax Online Banking and set up transfers to "another account with us" That way all transfers are instantaneous.
I have transferred from a web saver so no it doesn't need to be a current account0 -
Thanks Jem, set up the account & tried to transfer, doesnt operate after 7pm , try tommorow.0

I'm assuming you mean creating the transfer doesn't work after 7pm as I have just transferred from HBOS to Sainsburys Bank.0

I've asked this somewhere else but does this account let you feed regular savings accounts at other institutions directly please?0

How can the transfer from a Halifax Web Saver to the Sainsbury's saver be instantaneous? Do they have a special relationship?0 -

6.25%! glad I've just opened one!
Martin first phrased the term 'Credit Card Tart', I can see myself becoming a 'Savings Account Tart' and moving my savings around to the best interest account.
I just hope I don't forget where I've stashed it!
[edit] I wonder if A&L will raise the rate on the direct saver? (currently 6.1%) otherwise it will be worth my while putting it all in Sainsburys...no access penalties either.0 -
