£100 of M&S Vouchers (Is this spam?)

My friend just sent me this email. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen it and whether they know if it's spam or not:
"Marks & Spencers, in conjunction with Persimmon Homes, are giving away
free vouchers. Marks & >Spencers are trying
word-of-mouth advertising to introduce its products and the reward you
receive for advertising for them is free non-refundable vouchers to be
used in any M&S store. To receive your free vouchers by e-mail all you
have to do is to send this email out to
8 people (for £100 of free vouchers) or 20 people (for £500 of free
vouchers). Within 2 weeks you will receive an e-mail with your vouchers
attached.They will contact you through your e-mail address. Please mark
a copy to: Mail address removed by BG
It's similar to the Sainsbury's one a couple of years ago but this time the Persimmon Homes email seems to be real.

Most people will make up or rahter give a company 20 email addresses for free let along £100 so smells like spam.Nice to save.0

set up 8 x hotmail accounts and use them soley for this purpose!
I'll bet you get:
1. No Money

Think about it logically. How will they verify that you sent the email out to 8, 20 or even 1 person? There's no way to do that. This type of email is just plain chainmail spam.
Edit for clarity: I mean 8 or 20 real actual people, not just 8 or 20 random, made-up email addresses.0 -

Why not ask yourself how they could possibly know whether you press the forward button and send it to anyone, or just press delete and then decide for yourself. :rolleyes:0

I've just got this from a mate too. It has to be spam. Although it is clogging peoples email boxes up.

Because if you read the instructions you are asked to cc the email to someone at Persimmon homes, whose mailbox is now clogged with thousands of emails.
This seems like someone with a grievance against the company getting revenge.0
