It's actually Persimmon Homes that needs to put a disclaimer on their website. This is nothing to do with M&S. The spammer could have specified Argos vouchers. It's Persimmon Homes that is being targeted.

They can't even spell Sony Ericsson correctly.

And as if a marketing campaign would be run by copying Joe Blogg in a company - you'd have to then feed all that separate info into a database. This is not how people collate direct marketing information.

If they're going to try and fool us, at least make it believable. Imbeciles.

I received this email today and contacted Persimmon Homes by phone, this is 100% a hoax. That poor fella everyone is copying to has an exploding inbox. He must have pigged someone off big time for this

A colleague sent it and got an auto reply before I could say anything

Subject: Hoax E-mail Alert



A hoax e-mail is being circulated offering a promotion of free Marks and Spencer vouchers for forwarding the e-mail to colleagues and friends.



Neither Marks and Spencer or Persimmon Homes have made any such promotional offer.



Please delete the hoax e-mail and notify the people to whom you have sent it that it is a hoax.
