Hi
My Husband, Myself and Our Daughter (6) are going to Vegas for a week at the end of May and want some recommendations for good places to eat. I love desserts so could live on Cheesecake in cheesecake factory all week but Husband likes to eat real food too! We would also like to do a couple of buffets too.
Thanks Andrea

Crikey how long have you got !!! you could very probably eat in a different top quality joint everyday for a year and then could go back to each a dozen times for trying all the things on the menu.
try a top quality Buffet for a bit everything. Bellagio , Planet hollywood , Mirage and Paris would be good places to startBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
No shortage of food in Las Vegas, most of the hotels have buffets and always excellent value and wonderful choice. There is something for everyone. Just wander around when feeling peckish and you will be sure to find somewhere nice.SallyD0

El Cortez (I think thats how its spelt) is supposed to be really good. I ve also had recommended to me the Fajitia night at Don Orleans its in the American Casino Guide with a coupon, I think its 2 4 1.0

Buffets - Spice Market at Planet Hollywood, or the Bellagio one0

best buffet is at Bellagio. Avoid the Sterling Brunch at Ballys - it's designed to impress people with items like lobster and caviar, but isn't that good on the quality front.
Memphis Championship BBQ is a good place for an all-american BBQ food (sticky ribs, etc.), and is something you won't find in England - American restaurants in the UK are dire. Big portions and nice slow smoked meat.My policies are based not on some economics theory, but on things I and millions like me were brought up with: an honest day's work for an honest day's pay; live within your means; put by a nest egg for a rainy day; pay your bills on time; support the police - Margaret Thatcher.0 -
We went to Ballys as we'd heard was good for the price but I was unimpressed with the quality and it seemed to have run out of certain things although it was far from closing. I didn't eat very much at all.
I was impressed by the Luxor and Aladdin's Spice Market buffet (now Planet Hollywood). Very slightly more expensive than Ballys by a few dollars but the quality was far better so we ate more. Lovely.
For lunchtime, we didn't bother going to a buffet but went to one of the food courts, there's one in the Fashion Show Mall opposite Wynns. There's also one near the coca Cola bottle I think. There's also a few snacky places inside the casinos.
I liked La Salsa Mexican restaurant in the Dessert passage (which was part of the Aladdin) and a colleague of mine liked the Japanese Sushi & Seafood Buffet which is also there.

In Vegas last year we went to the Paris hotel for the breakfast buffet - absolutely fantastic - we went twice - it is that good there is usually a queue which goes down quickly but still worth the wait0

I have been to the Paris buffet for breakfast and dinner.
Breakfast was no better than breakfast at Terribles... Paris= $13.99 Terribles= $4.99
Dinner at Paris = $24.99 is one of the best buffets on the strip IMO0 -
Loved the Buffets at The MGM and Monte Carlo. The buffet at Ceasers Palace was IMO very poor for Vegas
Tony Romas does a very nice meal.
But you will hard pressed not to be impressed at most Hotel Buffets.
For snacks we found a bar between Ballys and The Flamingo where all the food was $3 [all fried],wings, goujons and the like and spirit and mixers are $2
Have a great time--its a weird place. A place like no other.Be ALERT - The world needs more LERTS0
