Hi all, I have received a date to go to court against Barclays of the 8th May 07. I am claiming just under £1100. I have followed the instructions on this site to the letter from day one. My question is what happens now. Can I expect Barclays to contact me to settle ? If so at what point prior to the court hearing are they likely to contact me ? Will it be by phone call or do they have to contact me in writing ?
Thanks for all the help so far.

Hi
You prob will have to do a court bundle my claim is also with Barclays I haven't got a date for court BUT reading other threads you have to prepare this bundle and give 1 to courts,1 to Barclays and one to their Solicitor. Did you not get any notification to prepare this bundle with your court date. You will find Barclays usually settle a few days before
Have a read off on Barclays Thread lots of advice there

I filled in an allocation questionaire prior to handing it in at the designated county court and 4 weeks later received a date for the hearing (8th May). There was no mention in the letter I received regarding a court bundle. I presume this is the same as the downloadable court pack available on this site ? As there is only 14 working days before my court hearing I am wondering how soon or if I am likely to hear from Barclays with a settlement.
Thanks again.

okay Not sure really what to advise just know from reading other threads that a courtbundle usually has to be done.I would perhaps ring the courts in the morning just to check. In some cases people have contacted the solicitors direct regarding the settlement.

I am getting more and more worried as the days move closer to this Thursday!!!
My claim for Abbey and Lloyds was to be pursued in court this Thursday, but Lloyds have settled out of court (£500 yeay!!).
Im going to court to claim £750 from Abbey and im EXTREMELY nervous. Is there anything I need to take with me? Anything I need to know? Anything?!
Any advice much appreciated x0 -

Thank you lindilou39.
Does anybody know if there is anything in particular that I need to know?
What in particular do I need to know about why the charges are unlawful?0 -
go and read the reclaim helpthread....your letter before action should actually state why you are claiming.......because they are disproportionate and do not reflect the true cost to the bank, you should also be quoting the unfair terms and conditions contract...now go read up.

Im supposed to be going to court this Thursday. I have rather sloppily just realised that I had a letter where a judge ordered that I filed in court and served the defendant the following:
a) a schedule of charges
b) copies of statements showing these charges
c) a statement showing that charges are irrecoverable as penalties or otherwise.
d) copies of decided cases and other legal materials to be relied upon
the letter says that if I don't do it by 20th of June the Claim will stand struck out without further order.
Is it too late for me to do anything about this? Can I personally drop it off to the local court?0
