I have just heard through the grapevine that Lastminute.com are having a 24hr sale on all holidays next Tuesday...
Not sure as yet what the level of discounts will be but if you haven't booked your holiday and were thinking of doing so this weeked - might be as wise to hold off for a few days

I don't trust lastminute.com as they left us stranded in the middle of Stavanger. The hotel we had booked and paid for was NOT booked and paid for by them. The hotel of course was full as were all the others as something was on.
We tried emailing them many times as they don't give out a phone number but they just ignored us.
Eventually got money back from credit card company.

I booked something at The Albert Hall with them. They completely messed it up. Broken promises; spoke to the person in charge of customer services - more broken promises. They can be good, but I would always triple check anything significant that I booked.

When booking holidays on the internet,it is always advisable to e-mail the hotel seperately to ensure the booking has been received, this way any problems can be ironed out before you leave. It can also help to get preferential rooms e.g. with views, non-smoking etc.0

We booked our flights to Oz with them a few years ago when we went on honeymoon. A few days later we phoned the airline to see if we could get a free upgrade or seats by the emergency exit but no joy. They did however point out that as we had specified a window seat, lastminute had booked us two window seats in different rows. That would have been a great start to the honeymoon but luckily we got it changedMatched betting profits since 11/10/06 = £1,5540

I booked hotels in Italy through last minute - they told me I was close the airport and town centre. Turns out I was half hour by taxi from the airport and 1 hour by bus from the town.
Double check that the hotel is where it is supposed to be0 -
Booked hogmanay in Edinburgh through them and had no problem.
Wife booked hotel in London with thtm and ended up in a dump.0 -
