Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Friday 23 March. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Been up loads last night as throat is killing me again

This is about 5 days now and is getting a pain in the bum!

Have put the WM on and DW needs unloading, but dont have the energy or inclination to do this:D

Must get organised over the next few days as we are away for 1 week at Newquay from next Friday. Anyone know of any places to visit that way? I have loads of vouchers to eat out and will be taking a full packed lunch for the long journey. I refuse to pay the prices at the service stations.

DD is at her friends tonight:j :j :j :j :j so OH is cooking me a lovely meal of Steak, chips, onion rings, mushrooms and salad.....I cant wait! Have some friends round tomorrow and am just doing a buffet with baked spuds and a HM chilli...with all the other normal buffet food. Got most items from the market yesterday, so was all cheap. Got a lovely Brulee cheesecake for pudding and strawberries and cream;)

Anyway, Im going to try and get some more sleep. Hugs to all.

Morning Penny Pincher and all who follow
I can't sleep either but mine is becaues of my joints
it's pay day today so It's supposed to be big shop day but I think I'm just going to write the list for the weekend and just do that plus where my arm and hand are bad I don't like driving when it's like that so I have to take my wally trolley
so other than shopping
I will see if there is enough washing to justify doing it or leaving for tomorrow

penpen im sending you a nicy hunky chappie to rub and kiss your throat better and mrs mix.. a hunky chappy to give you a massarge !!!!! they can be naked if you want !!!!!!they will also do all housework and cook you lunch !!!!!! there i bet you both are smilling now !!!!!!!

my dishwasher wont work.. and its full of everything crammed inside dirty !!!!!it keeps flashing aol !!!! cant see anything in the manual, will have to ring them today, thats all i need !!!!!

i have no ironing.. i have no ironing la la la la la !!!!!!

well im off to make some weetabix brownies.. catch up in a mo
where is smokybabe this morning ? mmmm having a layin !!!!!!

Hi everyone, thank goodness it's Friday - as the saying goes.

Well I spoke to OH about changing the rooms around and he was agreeable - but not until I am on holiday.:mad: Rather defeats the object. Still, watch this space and we will see what I can wangle.

Everyone is asleep this morning and I don't have to rush around as I have a lift off a colleague today.

The rest of the Turkey casserole will be magically transformed in to a curry for tonight and I have some lager cooling nicely in the fridge for a long cold one later. A bed change and complete clean and polish is in order upstairs after work and that then frees up a job tomorrow so that I can deep clean somewhere downstairs

Oh well, my

needs refilling and I need a shower.

Morning all
Saw Mr Mortgage Man last night so that's got things going well on the flat front. Sold sign's gone up!!!:j
Off to the Mayor's Charity Ball this evening with my sis and a couple of friends. Can't wait, it should be really good. A chance to doll up for once

This office is freezing - got in to find that yet again, the heating's been turned off completely. It's not right, I'm sure they can't do that

I'm trying not to call work and tell them I'm sick...it's so tempting, haven't slept properly all week so feel really run down but I wont do it...I'll sort myself out and go. Bah...evil work!
Have masses of ironing to do and washing to put in the machine but not feeling very motivated.

Thanks to Amie for the great image of a male slave for the day for penny pincher and Mrs Mix - made me smile too!

And thanks Smokeybabe for the lovely images, I do so look forward to seeing your latest ones - thank you for sharing them with us. It's a real pleasure as they're so pretty and cheery.

Well I haven't posted lately cos I've been under par, but still under pressure to go to work. However, needs must when the devil drives and I'm just going to have to go onto sick leave for a while. It also means I won't be going on holiday to Wester Ross next week as planned, but TBH the way I'm feeling that's a bit of a relief - better to stay here with all home comforts, also it's too far for me to drive at present - would take over 5 hours. I just need to stay put, rest and get over this blip. So at least that's two positive decisions which have come out of a fairly sleepless night!

The last time I needed time off work it took 10 days to see a doctor! I hope it's quicker this time. Do others have long waits to be seen?

I'll resist the temptation to catch up on sleep later on, will get the WM and BM on - flour already weighed out from the last batch I made and stored in airtight container, so it'll be quick to do.

Good morning everyone,

A better nights sleep here - DD hasnt come into my bed at all (she is still in her own bed!!!) and although i had trouble getting to sleep, i think i actually mananged a few hours before i started waking up, which is wonderful for me!!! Hopefully i will have more energy than yesterday, just couldnt get moving at all, but never mind, everything is still here to do today.

Have 2 LOs here today, and think we will attempt some biscuit making. Ive also got someone coming around to fix my downstairs loo (has a crack in its cistern, we found out when 'unknown' stains started appearing in my front room).

Right, off for a browse before my 2 get up, and LO gets here.
